The way Dan Henderson can't throw a proper kick, can barely throw more than a right hand, but finds a way to win is legendary. Dude KOs an absolute monster with a back elbow while standing on one leg 😂. Only Hendo can pull it off.

@ronmka8931 the hell are you talking about nostalgia, this wasn't even that long ago. Oliveira, Dustin, Justin, Max and the rest of them are literally from this era. You forget those guys literally debuted in 2010, 15 years ago. Then you get Jose Aldo who's been fighting since 2003.

Im not joking, you could write an entire comic book franchise n cartoons based on the fighting spirit of Dan Henderson & his HUGE, folklore sized right hand. Big Chief Hit 'Em Hard, the H Bomb Adventures of Hendo. Even when he didn't put em clean out with that right hand, no matter how good their poker face was, they stayed hurt from it.

Started watching the ufc during Covid. Think the first card I watched was when Cejudo tkod Cruz then retired. Ever since then I’ve really fallen in love with the ufc. Watched at least part of probably 95% of the cards. Usually take off work on Saturdays when cards start early. I’m telling you ufc, lower ppv to a more affordable price, like $30 your buys will skyrocket. I don’t make enough to justify paying the current price. Even just try the cheap price for one card to see if it makes a difference.

Didn't miss any of these. Hendo v Lombard, I remember celebrating. Big fan of Hendo. Brown vs Silva, I remember being terrified of Silva when they started bringing out the stretcher in the background. Lauzon vs Miller, the first time I saw an imanari roll thinking "What the hell was that ninja stuff?!".

OMG, Matt Brown was devastatingly relentless in that fight. I don't think I have ever such constant, sustained pressure in any fight, ever. That was an epic battle. I gotta say that kid had heart, but there was no way he was winning that fight.

Lombard, Al Hassan, Parisian. All Judo guys, all had a hell of a wallop on em. Must be something in the judo stance, all those years of keeping their balance as opponents were trying to throw n trip em, that helps em generate punching power.

I'm a judo black belt who transitioned to MMA👌🏼 I don't think there's anything special in judo that gives you punching power, judokas are some of the most explosive combat athletes due to the nature of judo focusing on big throws as decisive for victory, so that helps, but punching is a whole different ball game 👌🏼 different biomechanics altogether

Nine times out of ten the Brown vs Silva fight would have been stopped after that liver kick by Silva plus the follow up strikes. All of my respect to Matt Brown for surviving the onslaught by Silva, but Silva gassed out after the submission attempts(that's on him).

The good old days when fighters had their sponsors prominently displayed on their shorts, especially when TAPOUT was a major sponsor. Remember Charles Lewis, Jr. (“Mask”), Dan Caldwell (“Punkass”), and Tim Katz (“SkySkrape”). Damn were fortunate to have the UFC at its peak, oh and the WEC also produced some exceptional fights. I watched from UFC 1 and then when ultimate fighter show premiered on spike TV and the Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar it just changed everything.

Matt Brown was a unit...crafty, tough and a very smart fighter. Sadly he just didn't have some of the speed/gifts to have been champ in the current UFC. If he existed prior, he'd have been a world champ.
