Love him or hate him.. MMA would not be what it is today without Uncle Dana. And it will definitely not be the same once hes gone.

I agree with you. Maybe it would've been better without him. I think because of his arrogance he's probably missed a lot of opportunities to grow the sport & gain some legitimacy as a major sport. He too often blurs the line between MMA & pro-wrestling which has kept the UFC from getting more respect. We'll never know, but I think for all the good things he has done, he's done a lot of unnecessary harm, as well. And the way he treated icons like Couture, Fedor & Carano are just a few examples of how he put his ego & personal profit ahead of the integrity of the sport. He's polarizing, and for good reason.

Oh, and by the way: Nobody has done more to stand in the way of a fighters' union that "Uncle" Dana. He has been the biggest reason why fighters can't get retirement, health benefits, and negotiating rights. The fighters make the UFC what it is, not the promoter. Yet Dana can't give the men & women who put their asses on the line every event for him some basic rights & protections. That's ridiculous.

Dana is right about Arena vs Stadium. I've been to both for UFC myself (Australia) and the arena atmosphere and viewing angles are both way better. The arena is way more compact so the sound is still super intense even though it's less people. Stadium's are definitely spectacles, no doubt about it, it's cool, but in terms of watching the fights...terrible, unless you are loaded and get up super close.

I was quite impressed with Moreno. Seems like a class act and a family man. The kind of athlete I could get behind. With his skill, fight IQ, humility, and charisma he could become the next star. I just hope he has the right kind of people around him so the success doesn't go to his head a la Mc Nuggets.

Dude has been a star for awhile now, and already has had more success as a champion than McGregor, seeing as he actually attempted to (and a lot will say successfully) defend the belt. And he just won the IC right back, along with making a smart decision to train with Krause after his last fight. He'll be fine :)

Wow! Surprised the main event wasn't Fight of the Night even though it was pretty damn 1 sided, it was still a hell of a fight! Plenty of action and blood so I'm surprised. And Moreno should have at least gotten a POTN bonus as well if Ankalaev and Pavlovich didn't.

Ankalaev got the finish so early mainly cause of Smith's injury and the Pavlovich finish was as early a stoppage as I've ever seen. If anyone deserved a POTN bonus it was Negumereanu, maybe Morales too though his fight was pretty competitive

Exactly what I think. France vs Moreno was alright. But both the girls were rocking each other for four rounds straight. I was standing up yelling at the TV the whole fight. Dana dissed Peña the most of UFC 277, she definitely deserves an apology and $100k bonus

I think Dana is close to the truth on what happened with the Jake Paul deal. Just seems odd to me that they would go ahead and cancel the whole damn fight card and then go ahead and blame the whole thing on Hasim in a long tirade. I would assume some other things went wrong and they just used Hasim as a scapegoat.

I dont think it was an early stoppage, cause when the ref jumped in Pavlovich stopped throwing punches. if he would have continued in that position lewis would not have been able to jump up ....

MSG New York is definitely the biggest stage in my opinion.. just the arena all the history.. where its located in the heart of the city.. the way it looks and then obviously it being New York… and some reason the energy is just nuts over there u can literally feel it through the tv.. doing a big event around fall time in New York is even better

@@da_Luv_U Lmao that fight was not competitive in the slightest. 5 KDs, Countless takedowns, Brutal ground and pound & Dominated every round of that fight. Competitive implies there were actually some close rounds, Like Pena taking an absolute beating for the ages but throwing her legs up time to time going for submissions that Nunes defended perfectly and then continue to bludgeon her, That’s just not competitive lmao. 50-43 was most def the correct score, It was a one sided beating. Respect for Pena for staying in there during a beating like that, But just being able to make to the final horn don’t mean she made it a competitive fight lol. She got heart, But she got obliterated out there.

i kinda get it.. big Dan was the ref during Derricks fight against Gane and Derrick fell face first in the exact same way just before Gane finished him so i can understand big Dan thinking Derrick was done.. but still was a bad stoppage💯 gotta let it play out for a few secs

I mean I get that those two guys are heavyweights, but damn Lewis was eating some nasty shots all while getting knocked down. It was clearly the best choice from the referee. Anymore longer and Lewis would have most likely been K.O’d.

How does usman tie anderson for title fights? Hes fought colby 2 times jorge 2 times and burns once. 5 title fights. Hows that tie gsp or jones? A win streak isnt the same as title fights. If thats the case leon edwards and tony furgeson almost tied gsp and jones.

There needs to b a referee of the night award. A small bonus that goes to the ref who didn't stop any fights prematurely and let the fighters work at the appropriate times and who stopped a fight right on time

Juliana wasn’t concerned with the damage bro. She was fighting an opponent who is bigger and stronger who trained for a death fight. And still connected a bunch. The only two differences in the fight tonight is one fighter made adjustments and one didn’t. If Peña would have kicked Amanda s calf over and over she would have slowed the beast. She can’t stand up with no teach and out box Amanda. She didn’t listen to her corner. He told her she is using that right hand . Simple boxing adjustments and kicks would have saved her face a bit. But these two are the best. What a fight. Amanda came to win no matter what. And her advantages were clear as day in terms of size. She was barely in shape in the last fight. Tonight was the best she looked ever.

No they can't. You need a mega fight for the stadiums in LA, Vegas, Dallas, Arizona, ATL, Miami, hell even Lucas stadium in Indianapolis. So if it's not a big three card that stadium is not getting sold out.
