Jon was right the whole time but fans hated him so much that they didn’t want to hear him. Izzy was using Jon’s name for clout earlier in his career to build his brand. Everyone with a brain knew Jon would rag doll Izzy and if they didn’t the Izzy v Jan fight confirmed it.

Back in the day, GSP stated when he fought Matt Hughes the first time, GSP stated he was starstruck, and that he had a hard time fighting Hughes because Hughes was such a big star. I think Gane was dealing with that as well. I think he was starstruck and psyched himself out a bit.

I don't think it's that bad because Gane already proved that he's on another level than the other heavyweights. It's just a matter of time before he gets another title fight and I'm sure that he'll work much harder on his ground game. If Jones keeps his belt until then, it will be a great rematch between these two.
@FreefallSC
@FreefallSC Жыл бұрын
@@Bee-zr7bj Gane has really proven very little at HW. He beat a bunch of old guys and guys with no wrestling who had to strike with him. The first time anyone tried to grapple him he lost against a guy people say can’t grapple at all. Then the second time a guy tried to grapple him he got subbed in 2 minutes. I’m not sure he beats any HW that is a decent grappler/wrestler. He has looked lost and woefully unprepared on the ground.
