Belal Mohamed vs Shavkat Rakhmonov announced is pretty damn interesting, actually didn't see that being his next match up, but must say I love the fact that Belal seems to have no problems fighting undefeated foes/crazy win streaks, and Shavkat is a beast as well, should be a pretty interesting match up there

@@KadenDressel well we don’t really know that cuz he hasn’t fought anyone beside usman and aging guys who aren’t ranked or even in the ufc anymore. Dana said they were trying to make him and khamzat and not a peep of it since. Belal said he was supposed to fight colby on this card but colby turned it down. I think colby is very good too but getting a 3rd title shot in 4 fights is ridiculous. He has two losses to usman with wins against Jorge/woodley/lawler. That’s not the resume of a guy who should get a 3rd title shot in 4 fights.

I'd agree with that assessment, a win over Burns would be a legitimate top contender... tough ask though as I think Burns works him over on the mat and on the feet. I hope Leon gets to beat up Jorge back at the O2 arena though as that cheap shot was uncalled for and out of line.

Although I don’t agree with Colby getting title shot, it has nothing to do with his previous fight. He is getting the shot because he came in 3 day notice cut 18 pounds in 1 day and was ready to fight. How many fighters can make weight on 3 day notice ? Khamzat couldn’t even make weight with a full camp for the diaz fight. This kinda like you scratch my back I scratch yours situation. Like Masvidal got his title shot then a second one for just making weight the first fight with usman. Same situation.

Now he has an English champion to crazy numbers in London, while being able to make a fresh title fight for Colby, in a far more favorable stylistic matchup for him.
