I remember when Shogun KO'd him Anderson was the first one to greet him backstage, "Chuck, for me you're still #1, no problem" and now that Anderson is on the receiving end of a KO loss Chuck is one of the first to greet him backstage w/ words of encouragement. What a loyal guy.

The embrace of respect between Anderson and Roy Jones backstage wasn't something I was expecting. It's always great to see 2 champions of their respective sport embrace one another and show that in the ring or cage, it's business but outside, they're people and still have love for the other's legacy.
@irjoelius11 жыл бұрын
It sure was! That was probably the best moment of any UFC vlogs!

I fucking love these little vblogs Dana does. They are beautiful behind the scene looks at what goes on that no other sport really gives you. UFC really does it right. Damn i love this shit.

It's amazing to see how friendly and calm Anderson is after the most devastating defeat in MMA history. The guy is truly a class act.
@mmadigest11 жыл бұрын
It's fair game to criticize some of the antics he does in the cage and occasionally at staredowns, but for a guy who hardly ever loses he handled it like a champ. The guy congratulates Weidman sincerely for a long time, keeps his head up high, is greeting people and smiling backstage, asking Roy Jones if he enjoyed the show, and then lets Usher backstage give him a speech and fighting advice. I've seen people handle wins with less class.. Good lesson on how to handled defeat gracefully.

Burt Watson.... He's not a hype-man contrary to what some may say. He's the shepard to the sheep. He's the guy that makes sure fighters are where they should be when they should be there. He gets the guys to the cage. In short, with Burt there, guys don't have to worry about logistical stuff, they can focus on the fight.
@demonikmagic11 жыл бұрын
7:07 Dana's face says it all man. He tries to hide it but still looks horrified his champion has fallen. Then at 9:14 that look he gives in between Roy and Anderson. Dana really cares about fighters man
@furrealdoe803011 жыл бұрын
I believe he will be as ready as he can be haha. Weidman has shown how strong his wrestling is. Not just in their first round together but also against his past opponents. I have no doubt he will be aware that Silva will approach him alot more seriously in standup, so Weidman may try to utilize his wrestling more. We also all know Silva's great on his back, so all I can say is i'm more excited than ever for the rematch. I bear no resentment towards whoever wins/loses. And a 3rd rematch? Yes PLZ!

Silva took his lose like a man.to bad he didnt fight with that much respect.
@furrealdoe803011 жыл бұрын
Yes it's true that it didn't fool Weidman. Although Silva said the gameplan was to have him open up, which he did. Imo the X factor I noticed was that Weidman pushed forward with his punches as opposed to Silva's previous opponents who kept their feet planted and just swung from their stance. I agree and too believe Anderson is still better and the rematch will speak volumes on where each fighter truly stands! For now we know Weidman can knock him out, so I hope the best Silva comes in Dec! :]

Weidman won the belt, Silva won the belt and defended it like 10 times without losing including winning other fights and moving up in weight division and winning fights -- all without losing once -- in the toughest MMA organization in the world. Not to mention he was champ in other organizations before coming to ufc, and was regarded as the #1 WW fighter in the world at one point before going to ufc. Of course Silva is getting the attention.
@furrealdoe803011 жыл бұрын
Those two may be at it for awhile. I sympathize with all the other top contending Middleweights, ESPECIALLY Vitor. He must be balls to the wall over all of this right now ahah. And poor Bisping too! He's been trying at it for sooo long Dx lol
