Dom fought a lot of his fights injured or coming back from injury. His lasting power stems from the WEC days, pioneering a style unique to him. I remember him vs Dillashaw was so special because he came back and beat who people thought was the next generation him when it came to stance switches and footwork.

One of my favorite Bantamweights and the goat of that division. Sad to see him retire in a way where he didn’t get his proper goodbyes. It was a pleasure meeting him in Nashville, he is a true gentleman.

Yep! Faber was the man and a dog in the WEC. I used to hate on Cruz, I watched more Faber fights back then, but eventually I had to acknowledge how good Cruz was. Faber never could beat Cruz. WEC or UFC. Cruz is the man.

I'm glad ufc is going fully in the direction of celebrating the absolute trailblazing career of Dominick Cruz. Amazing how he only has 2 losses at the very end after fighting only the top fighters at Bantamweight ever since before he was even in the UFC. Dominick Cruz was the guy who fought through way more injuries than was even reasonable, so when he says this one was too much for him I believe him. Insane to me how long he kept his speed, chin, movement and striking power even into older age

2015 was when I got into MMA. Aside from Conor McGregor, Doms rivalry with team alpha male was what got me invested in this sport. If it weren’t for his injuries he definitely would have been one of the greatest fighters of all time.

Enjoy your retirement you definitely deserved it my man. I remember watching him in the WEC Days. His style his movement the way he's always moving in and out bobbing and weaving he is one hard guy to figure out. Hence why TJ Dillashaw copied his style. Comes back works his way up to the top becomes the champion again. Defended his title. Add knowing the injury he had because I'm suffering from it myself it is not fun. And he blew out both of his name is I blew out my left. So he's come back surgery after surgery rehab recovery. And then you got to remember training camp. The fight is easy it's the training camp in getting to the fight that's hard. And then having to make weight and he's a big 135lb

As a full grown adult male it’s hard watching other full grown adult males who stopped growing at 14 years old. If you could still get away with Trick or Treating but are the father of an 11 year old who is bigger than you, it doesn’t matter what dance routine you have mastered. And I once heard an MMA fighter once say that there is a reason there are weight classes in fighting. Shirley you don’t think a guy who is smaller than my friend Shirley can beat a grown man. If you do then simply tell me why we’ve never seen it. I know it hurts you to hear it but let’s take Joe Rogan’s best MMA fighter of all time, Mighty Mouse. In my opinion superior fighter.
