Probably the most precise MMA striker of all time. His timing, footwork, defense and precision are all second to none, he’s been formally trained and has mastered multiple striking arts, and is a black belt in BJJ. I’ve never seen a “street fighter” with anywhere near that level of technical precision, nor have I ever seen anyone fight the way he does in a street fight.

@Emerson Amaya The Leites and Maia fights were lackluster because they had nothing for Silva and you felt like Silva coasted and probably could’ve finished them if he went for it. I rewatched the Cote fight the other night and it wasn’t half as bad as I remembered or as the narratives suggest. So 2 “bad” performances (in which he was still dominant) in a 16 fight ufc run full of record breaking and jaw dropping finishes. It shows his greatness when you have to point out 2 fights that he dominated to criticize him.
