It was a nerveracking and spectacular super fight! They did an amazing fight. Islam won the fight for 100%, he just was not lucky on the 5th round and missed a big punch which made to lose the round, but at the end Islam earned the win! Respect to Islam taking the fight and handling the big pressure on his shoulder and stress. To fight with 145 pound champ in the enemy territory is a big pressure and mental stress. It was a big pressure for Islam because his belt was on the line. Volk wouldn't lose anything just the name "N#1 P4P king"! Thanks to both champs!

Russian part: 1) He said that everyone was expecting him to win as if Volk is some random street fighter. Whereas Islam had known it was going to be tough and this fight brought a lot of use to him. Volk’s stance is unconventional. 2) He also said that usually they had 36 hours after weight cut to fight while here it was only 24 hours. 3) similar to Q1. Volk is great and Islam also decided to have a punch up. And that Volk tried to make some moves to get Islam to the ground including the last round. 4) when Khabib called “when you got the back why didn’t you move up?”. So i missed Khabib in that sense as you need someone to shout from the corner and give timely advice like that. I did win but I will repeat that the more time for recovery - the better (referring to 24 hours instead of 36h). 5) Volk would probably be a very big test for all the other lightweights in the division as Volk is VERY tough and takes punches and keeps going. A hard nut. Volk defended well and Islam had tough fights in the past so he needs such fights as he trains so long and then submits someone in a few minutes. While here he got so many positives and such an experience from a long fight like that. He needed that. Volk didn’t properly knock him down but Volk did connect in the 5th properly and Islam felt it. Islam slipped in the 3rd round, not a knockdown. Need to review as definitely not a knockdown. And if you missed it, Islam repeated the modest “best fighter in the world right now” 😂 I had my $50 on Volk and almost won 3x on this. Shame. Volk is a bull. Love the guy.
