Round 1 JAN WIN Round 2 Jan WIN Round 3 Jan WIN Round 4 Ankalaev WIN ONLY TAKEDOWN Round 5 Ankalaev WIN ONLY TAKEDOWN Jan did damage to Magmed's legs to the point he was limping. Magomed had 2 take downs and control time but didn't do much with it. I'm guessing that's why it ended in a draw. the strikes on the ground were mostly blocked by Jan. Just because Ankalev got those takedowns and looked busy, doesn't mean they were effective. Don't get me wrong, I think Jan has serious issues with his ground game, but a draw was a good decision. Ankalev probably has a better chance of beating Glover. Look at it from the perspective of damage and you will understand why it was a good decision.

Joe can have an opinion but he was stating it as if it was fact. Joe even said he thought Jan said that Ankalaev won but Jan said he 'didn't think he won' in other words a draw could be a good decision. Jan only said give the belt to Ankalaev after Joe made it clear he thought Ankalaev had won. Draw was a good decision imo 1-3 Blachowicz, 4-5 Ankalaev, round 5 10-8.

Joe and DC are always biased against Jan, DC especially because he's good friends with team khabib so he always supports the Dagestani fighters. With the way they call Jans fights you would think he doesn't deserve to be there, you would think he was never the champ. When he fought Izzy is a great example, he was out striking Izzy but they would make you think he was losing until he started wrestling. yeah that's not what it was. Jan went there with as in even if it was a draw it was a good fight spirit and Ankalaev didn't want that because in his mind he won the fight.
@TimeGallon
@TimeGallon Жыл бұрын
I saw it completely differently. Magomed was frustrated and shot down Jan’s attempt to make the most of the moment. Magomed acted like a brat in my opinion. Then, instead of giving Jan any credit whatsoever he just says “where’s my belt, I want my belt!” For one, This wasnt even supposed to be a title fight and secondly, Jan battered you for the first 3 rounds. You only wrestled to survive and I don’t usually hate on wrestling but those last two rounds were a waste of a good fight. Did nothing but hold Jan down for 10 mins. “Where’s my belt?!” Give me a break. How about “Jan’s a great fighter; let’s do it again”

What did the judges do wrong in this case? Only thing outrageous I can see is judge Cleary giving round 3 to Ankalaev despite him looking like a baby giraffe and getting his legs destroyed. All 3 judges gave Jan round 1 (round 2 and 3 definitely Jan's), and 2/3 judges said that the 5th was a 10-8, so it seems to me that a 47-47 scorecard and a draw is the most reasonable scoring outcome?
