Jiri is a real life Tekken character with awesome intentions. Congrats to him on winning the championship won in an unexpected way. Much appreciation and respect too the man the myth the legend himself Glover Teixeira. At 42 years old and still managed to put on a masterpiece clinic against a young lion.

Jiri is lucky glover didnt go for the finish in the 5th, instead going for that guillotine and slipping off. Jiri was donzo at that point and glover was hurting him over and over, good for Jiri tho hes a good champ. Make The Jan fight thats what we all want to see.

The difference in fundamental skills was most evident in the championship rounds. Both men were tired but Glover's fundamentals allowed him to get the better of the striking late in the fight. Jiri can't be like Tony and slack off on the fundamentals, it will catch up to him when he gets older and past his prime.

Great fight but no. If you mean in the future after Glover gets a couple wins and earns it, then yea. But immediate? No way. This was his first defense. We can’t keep holding up divisions for title rematches, especially for somebody who never defended the belt.

Should run it back 100%. Jan got absolutely mauled by Glover and his last win was iffy being that it was 1-1 going into that 3rd and Rakic unfortunately couldn’t continue. Glover was also up on 2/3 scorecards. Rematch and Jan vs Smith/Magomedov

Nah Jan was looking sharp in that fight and his calf kicks is what caused that injury. Jan was well on his way to immobilizing him and eventually TKOing Rakic. Jiri vs Jan is next and they have both agreed to this

Jirka is the best ... what a relief to see a modest champ after all those cocky clowns we have seen in the past. He may help get UFC out of the gutter it has gotten itself into. True warrior does not need the trash talk and can beat opponents whilst staying respectful. A true hero and a role model for young aspiring fighters!

While Glover and Ankalaev/Smith winner would be more deserving for the next shot, I feel like Jan/Jiri is the biggest fight the UFC can make. Put the card in Czech Republic/Poland and that will be a historic card, not to mention guys like Gamrot, who can co-headline it.
