This is what happens when alex pereira is forced to fight the number 1 contender instead of fighting journeyman ranked in the top 15 like khalil to avoid ankalaev, they even made him fight during Ramadan to weaken ankalaev and it still wasn't enough. This is why Islam was always the p4p king and alex was lucky to even be ranked in the top 3 when in reality he didn't deserve it either. Alex is a very exiting fighter especially for casuals but he was never the best fighter in any devision he competed in

Haters complaining about ankalaev holding alex against the cage in the 4th round. What do you want him to do? Chase alex around and get calfed kick for the whole fight? Ank showed he is not a one trick poney he beat him in every aspect of the game. Alex was backing down the whole fight and almost got knocked out and got saved by the bell. Ankalaev beat him for all rounds. You could give the first round and third to alex but it were close rounds. No chama its anka time!

You know what’s crazy? Alex didn’t do an actual training camp. Alex was flying all over the world, doing media and sponsorship deals/obligations. Belgium, UK, Australia to say the least. Even still, Ank won by 1 point lol. That’s crazy. I’d like to see them fight with Alex being serious. Ank wants a serious match too, he has to be a little disappointed.
