Late into the third round, Holloway was able to end things for the win via TKO, unifying the the title and earning Fight of the Night honors. Holloway is set to face Alexander Volkanovski in a trilogy co-main event title fight at UFC 276 on Saturday, July 2.

Crazy to see how many times Aldo connected flush, and how little it affected Max. Aldo was just physically no longer able to hang with the featherweight elite, glad he dropped down to 135.

That's often the case with pressure fighters like Aldo, Cerrone, Yan, et. al. Cerrone & Yan fit that mold a bit better than Aldo, but I think it still applies.

I wouldn’t say CANT take it I would say maybe cant take it for 5 rounds..both this fight and the yan fight were super competitive for the fist 3 rounds arguable him winning 2 of the 3 rounds but after that is when he usually gasses and that were max put that extra pressure on him

@@Buzzcitylu nah yo. he got finished in the second round in both these fights. he cant even make it to the championship rounds and he is a former champion of a long reign. he cant take pressure. he even wilted to the pre fight pressure of conor. i love Aldo but the writing is on the wall as far as him not being able to take pressure. especially since he cant regulate his cardio under said pressure. ive been beaten up when exhausted.....its a nightmare. only a few people can actually stay in it mentally during these moments

I'm dying to see Max come back up to 155. I think we would see a better more rejuvenated version of him. If he took his time and really filled out his frame and buffed up a little bit... we would see the best version of Max. He looks like a zombie at 145

Wait. Jose never beat max in both their fights. I thought Conor was the first man to take the belt from aldo?. Also never got the belt back. Soooooo wtf? Who took the belt from aldo first McGregor or Holloway? And how did aldo get the belt back so the other other could be champ? Am I crazy ?
