The same people that say merab is boring are the same that loves colby and are exited for his fights, or loved gsp's fights lol. Its just hypocrisy. Colby has zero finishes in his entire career the only finish he has in his recored is him getting knocked out by kamaru, and submitted by a no name long time ago Most people hate merab for two things, he is a great friend to aljo and a lot of mma fans hate aljo, and he also made petr yan look like a joke and petr go a lot of obnoxious fans that are still bitter. Fans love wresling when it's their favorite fighter who doing it.

Not only that, but Tim completely failed to come up with a plan A, plan B, plan C, he hinged his fighter's success entirely on the idea that when Merab shoots, Sean needs to catch him with something big. That's it. And when that wasn't happening he failed to come up with adjustments during the fight. As per the corner cam moments.

Morab is very humble and polite. I love to see another side of the fighter. His receptive English is high and even though speaking development comes more slowly, I understood 99% of what he meant. Georgians can also be very aggressive and fight to the death if you provoke them. If this is how good a 5' 6" Georgian man can be, just imagine if you try to invade Georgia. Just ask the Russians. Or, you can ask O'Malley about how tough Georgians are as he is now an expert on the topic. I'm keeping an eye out for Morab's next bout. Gotta see that.

Until they make takedown defenses count as much as a takedown, the scoring will remain skewed towards this boring style of waist lock, lean on cage and Charlie Horse opponents thighs... It's rediculous that a fighter can defend 5 takedowns in a round, but then the guy gets the 6th with a minute or two remaining and wins the round. That is the dumbest thing ever in any sport.

Agreed. Takedowns are over valued and takedown defense is undervalued. However if you get dominated in any fashion it is what it is. Can't win a fight by take down defense.

@@lexide9432 not to mention it's WAY harder to defend a takedown than to get one. I'd almost argue takedown defenses should count for MORE than a takedown (but I'd be happy with even). There has to be some sort of real penalty for missing takedowns.
