In any other sauga there would have been three fights back to back to back, but the ufc wanted to squeeze more $$ out of adesanya and couldn't have him lose twice to Pereira. Yes they definitely are trying to preserve their money maker in the MW division but I feel like his career is going to be fading away while Pereira's will continue to be made greater. In two years- Pereira will most likely be triple champion and have wins over Jones, Aspinall and Gane and adesanya will be considered mediocre.

Silva did play around a lot in his fights, but his best style was always hands down because he relied on seeing the attacks coming and dodging, as he himself said many times when fought hands down his reaction time got faster. However, yeah a fight between him and Pereira in Middleweight would be a challenge even for a legend like The Spider.

I think Alex has reached UFC legendary status in probably the shortest time frame than ever before. It's not common for someone to come into mma from another fighting background and dominate like this. But to jump straight to top level UFC opponents and win in the way he does is unbelievable! Without speaking any English he's got the fan base behind him too, which is near impossible in the UFC. Alex Pereira is something special.
