Raul is not winning any new fans with that performance. No substantial ground strikes or submission attempts, even while enjoying that clear grappling advantage. Just hugged him for the whole fight essentially. Even the commentary team was questioning his inability/hesitation to advance the position. Opening the card like that, after hyping up the “Mexican fighting spirit” all week too. Shoutout Aoriqileng for actually trying to make it a fight.

Talented for a young man, but he's an early bloomer. He doesnt seem as eager or hungry as fighters trying to make it to the ufc. It's as if he thinks he's already legit and only needs to work on some things. He still needs to greatly improve to even be a top 10 fighter. He's got a long way to go. Not like he's destroying and dominating everyone like when Chinaev came and blew everyone away, yet he's talking about getting 50k bonuses. Gotta earn it, not ask for it. Boy's got a lot to learn. Pride holds one back from making progress.
