Here's what I see. Mickey Gall is training -- but with who? Yeah, he could train 80 years with some local kickboxer squad - and at a 'Gracie' affiliated center, but who's training him? CM Punk - dude's box office, and he used his money to go to one of the top training facilities in the country to get his ass beat down by that training facility for two years - minus time to get his body healthy again -- and what's more, he's taking this seriously, like DEAD serious. In his head, he's MMA, not WWE. The second they showed his coaches not taking Punk seriously by mocking the stuntwork of pro wrestling - that tells you something about just how seriously the coaches are training him; they may be taking this lightly. Every time someone takes someone lightly because they think the fight is beneath them, they end up on the mat eating a forearm and a TKO loss. Bisping at the beginning of the video - perfect example of a shit talker got stuffed in the mouth when he took his opponent too lightly. That's what's going to tilt this fight. If Gall is REALLY training like he's going up against a professional fighter, I give it a 70/30 to Gall. But I don't really think he is. I think he's taking it like he's going to be facing some guy from his local gym. And Punk is going to surprise him with something slightly more advanced than combo-kick-takedown, and boom, it's a win for Punk. I want Punk to win, hell, I'm a fan of his. I just wonder how much reality is going to take its toll once the punches start flying. It's WILL versus SKILL baby! I know everyone will probably say 'Oh he's going to get smashed', 'Mickey looks so much better in training' but I was actually impressed with CM Punk sparring at the end. Gall seems to overlook Punk at the moment which is not good for him, he said 'I'm training like he is the baddest man out there' but is he really? When he's talking all this smack, his coaches are joking around with him and all he's talking about is 'Hey I'm going to knock him out'. Gall is better at his ground game from searching him online, why would he want to KO Punk? Just focus on getting a 'easy' win. That and even his amateur fights, he's had a decision before and the rest of his wins come from the same Rear-Naked Choke. All Punk has to do is stay standing up and practice choke defence. If Roufusport have looked that up then Punk already knows about it. Due to that and the sparring he's been doing with guys who easily could knock him out like Pettis and Woodley I actually think there is a chance CM Punk could win or at least get it to a decision loss.

I see a polished young fighter in Mickey but I also see a tough, never give up mentality in CM Punk. The longer Punk can stay in the fight, obviously the better it's gonna be for him. Needs to go in there and not allow Mickey to dictate the fight, get in his face and stay active Punk! He is long and appears to have some decent striking so Punk needs to be right in his face working in the clinch and being active, or back out of his range. I feel like he lost cause he was nervous. I mean if I joined the MMA I would be very very nervous on my first match I mean would you, I believe in Punk I feel like he could improve more joining MMA

I love punk, but you can tell by his last spar that he just isn't ready physically or mentally. He won't quit, he'll give it his best, his striking and BJJ is good enough to catch someone, but just from what he's showing I just don't see it. I think the best we can hope for is he goes in there and has some good moments and fights hard into round 2 or 3 before he's just overwhelmed. His conditioning isn't there, and he just shows signs of some of the UFC guys who aren't particularly technically talented but maybe have crazy power and win like that.. Which I'm guessing he doesn't have. He has a nice jab, improved striking, he has heart for miles..but I just don't see the tank there at 38 year olds, and Dana White didn't give him any favors putting him in against a young athletic kid who's been on the same workout plan for FOUR times as long as Punk. He went from full mount to having his back taken in about 5 seconds.. He was breathing extremely hard after two rounds.. He got the back and choked the guy after extremely sloppy defense from the opponent.. just some bad signs overall :( Best of luck, hope I'm wrong.
