I know you and many like you are Shevchenko stans. I get it. She's the best against everyone but Amanda. But saying that this kick was better than Holly's is like saying Chandler's was better than Silva's against Belfort of Machida against Couture. It just isn't.

@@JordanSharkey Too much hopeful thinking. Jiri hasn't faced a good BJJ practitioner, and Glover is an elite BJJ practitioner. I'm betting on Old man Glover to choke him out, but maybe I'm wrong. Anything can happen in a fight, but Glover losing has the least probability.

The main event is one you can’t bet on. Jiri has superior striking and power, but bad tdd and a non existent ground game. Glover Texeira has superior grappling and strength, but weak striking defense and simplistic tendencies when hurt. No idea who’s gonna win, but this fight is most likely ending in Round 1.

It looks like the elbows were targeted and did touch the ear. Even though the strike had touched the back of her head. Refs typically don’t enforce the rule as long as the strike is also touching the ear. But I can’t completely tell where the 3 elbows were hitting because of the camera angle. I could be wrong but I could see many refs dealing with the situation in a similar way. That’s probably why the partly illegal strikes were allowed, simply because the elbow touch the ear. Not the elbow only struck the back of her head. But again, I can’t see a perfect visual.

This is what sucks about back to the head strikes using elbows full length and not 12 to 6 directional elbow strikes where only the elbow hits the target. The elbow strikes were side to side, making the strike hit multiple parts of the head.

It still doesn't make sense how jan tapped so quickly. He seriously looked like he was just waiting for glover to finish the fight and was happy to tap immediately. Jan had no excuses for it so I really don't know what happened
