Kai's right hand/overhand is his weapon. It is a shame Cody did not drill escaping that. Moreno's adjustment mid-fight to kai's right was amazing in their first fight.

Cody's career downfall is directly related to his fights with TJ. TJ subsequently popping and all the allegations from Cody about TJ popping on the build up to their fights makes it all the more tragic. Cody's career was stolen from him. Sure he won again after those fights but he was never the same.
