Dude this is the only live Card I've ever went to in Memphis TN! And I was lucky enough to be sitting close enough to witness the nastiest cut on another man's head that I've ever seen! The Frank Mir and Congo fight did not disappoint and I got to watch a local hero Alan Belcher win his match in front of a home crowd!

Diego should have stuck to his original style. Amazing wrestling and ground and pound. After he KOed Joe Riggs he completely forgot about his wrestling and ground and pound

This is how UFC needs to advertise/promote their fights. It helps build a conflict/storyline and make things more interesting and build characters.

As someone who wrestled in NM at the same time as Diego Sanchez, I have to admit I'm excited about this fight. However, saying Diego wasn NEVER in a boring fight, when he participated in one of the most notoriously boring fights against Josh K. is just ridiculous.

Definitely worth checking out, man. Almost every fight was worth the attention. Kenflo submitted Clay Guida... that was a surprising punishment too. BJ's composure, flexibility and balance are what make him so invincible. He's fast as hell too, I mean literally Diego was lucky to graze BJ's skin with any one of his blows. BJ just ducks out, steps sideways and puts a fist in your face. He can hardly be taken down and if he is, he can pretty much wrap his leg around your head three times. Crazy

Bj will always go down in history as a proper fighter!! Sanchez the same!!!!!

All I can say is that this is probably going to be one of the best cards next to UFC 100. We got three very good match-ups here and every fight should be exciting.

yeeea diego got his ass handed to him but sanchez is still a badass just watching his interviews and his warrior spirit mentality is so awesome and inspirational. just watching this still gives me goosebumps, years from now if diego decides to go into coaching he will breed a gym full of warriors

Basically, Penn dominated the fight the whole time and won by doctor stoppage in the 5th round because of a MASSIVE cut he inflicted on Sanchez's forehead. Also, Penn rocked Sanchez in the 1st round and almost won by TKO. He also rocked Sanchez in the 4th and 5th rounds and pummeled his face to the point of not being able to recognize him. To Sanchez's credit though, he had huge heart and great endurance but he was just outclassed in every way possible.

You can still catch it on payperview, its rerunning a lot. There were a lot of pretty good fights actually. Frank Mir slept Kongo, like I thought he would. The first fight with The Headhunter and The Skyscraper was a good one too actually. Surprisingly good one, and they were both really cool, good sports. Definitely worth the time and money though dude.. Sanchez kept going for the single leg takedown, but we all know BJ's take down defense is unreal.

win or lose Sanchez is the most exciting combat sport warrior of all time . he's the Arturo gatti of mma . not the most talented but the biggest heart and most exciting fighter of all time hands down

BJ is dominating a weak weight class in the UFC. The only reason he looks so good is that most of the lightweights suck. I would like to see him fight GSP again so he can go back to Hawaii in tears.

@Poffpoffpass I kind of have to agree. Remember when Uno rushed Penn? He was out cold several seconds later and Penn was already running up the ramp heading backstage. Obviously Uno and Sanchez aren't the same fighters, but Penn can potentially stop anyone at 155 with his striking or grappling and he doesn't need much of an opening to do it.

But Diego was a goddamn beast, having survived all the rounds up till he got kicked in the head. Actually, I was surprised he got up early on -- about 30 seconds in, BJ rocked the shit out of Diego, it was about 10 seconds away from TKO

Penn vs. Sanchez= Wow! Guida is always exciting to watch, and Florian will bring it after his last loss. Kongo is dangerous on his feet, but I think he'll get submitted. This is a great card.

When was the last time somebody went right after Diego Sanchez? Clay Guida. Now, I'm not saying Diego is going to win, but there aren't many guys as INTENSE as him, that's for sure. This should be a great fight!

With the amount of talent the UFC had at there dispense, this card could be excellent. I understand the injuries, but there alot of great matchups out there better than kongo/mir. UFC 108 and fight night 20 both look lackluster in my opinion also. This is the better of the 3 cards.

Yeah mattsok1234, when the match started me and all my buddies were all really nervous, repeating "I dont know! I just dont know!" and after about 45 seconds... We knew. Then again, Sanchez got back up. But yeahh.. Sanchez was ROCKED. If you looked at BJ and at Sanchez after the fight... that was clear. BJ looked like he had just run a mile. Not a cut or anything. Sanchez looked like he got hit by a bus.

shit yea this is one of the best cards in a while magine if Rashad Evans and rampage were still fighting in this card and thiago alvis it would ov been INSANE

@Toopizzle who knows. we'd have to see the fight to be sure. both guys willl be prepared and they will both expect the worst. they both improved over the months since their first fight so i dont see ANY of them making a lot of mistakes. the only thing we can expect is a great fucjing fight :) assuming mir beats carwin, of course

So does everyone here hate Penn? He's the favorite for a reason. So far no one has come close to stopping him at 155. His conditioning looked awesome vs Florian. I don't think Diego has the skill to stand with Penn and very few have the skill to take him to the ground. Diego only has the advantage in maybe round 4-5 depending on how Penn's conditioning is. yeah i agree i think this is just a fight a so mir can really good and then we will have a rubber match between mir and brock to see who is really better.i mean can the ufc make worse opponents for chieck first cain and now mir.two great ground fighters agaisnt an opponent who has barely any ground experiance at all.
