On episode #1 of UFC 177 Embedded, new bantamweight champ T.J. Dillashaw and former belt-holder Renan Barao prepare in dramatically different ways for their highly-anticipated title rematch. Dillashaw's fight week begins with news of a major shakeup, as Northern California endures its strongest earthquake in 25 years, centered just an hour away from his Sacramento home, and the host city for UFC 177. Undaunted by the damaging tremor, T.J. uses high-tech therapy to recover from a grueling training camp. In the streets of Rio de Janeiro, Barao uses low-tech but highly effective training techniques to fine-tune his skills and endurance with the ultimate goal of winning back his championship belt. UFC Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog series focusing on the days leading up to the UFC 177 bantamweight title rematch, Saturday, August 30th on Pay-Per-View.

Game plans are going to be exactly the same as the first fight, TJ is going to out move Barao with quickness while Barao is going to try to knock TJ into a new century. Going to be interesting to see if Barao gets tagged again.

Only a few thought TJ had a chance, and most of those people were his coaches and training partners... Everyone was shocked including myself, I'm excited to see this rematch... But Barao better be ready because TJ isn't a fucking joke... I just hope this guy acts like a champion and not some punk if his title reign continues...

Well, with that poor bastard face that Dillashaw have, who the fuck really thought he was gonna give Barão the beaten of his life? I think nobody but his team mates. But TJ showed that he's no joke at all and looked very impressive, but even being brazilian I'm not comfortable with this fight and can't see Renan winning by dominating fashion style (can't even see him winning, actually - maybe due effects of after the instant Silva x Weidman rematch). But we can't forget that after Barão had his first lost, he won more than 30 fights untill TJ stops him, so maybe he can be way more motivated to win this one.

Can you imagine if Barao had his training camp in the USA, with all the equipment and other stuff that they don't have in Brazil, how much better he would've got! one trains on a huge facility/gym with hi end equipment, hyperbaric chamber, supliment sponsoring tshirt and shit. The other runs up the street amongst kids playing around and pulls rubber bands for muscle gain. What a contrast!

The reason why Barao was not able to beat tj was the way they train at his gym with Andre p. As coach the same goes for Aldo. They reach a certain level of skill and technique and then they can’t go past that. Then they go every day to the gym and do the same drills the same procedure the same routine every damn day ... but with the things they are training on it’s all about maintenance and repetition after repetition they don’t evolve their game. Tj on the other hand always searching for new training methods new tools and equipment to regenerate his body trying to evolve and have an open mind soak up as much information from different places in different disciplines gaining more knowledge and evolving to always higher levels. That’s the difference in my opinion.

If Barao loses again i think he should consider moving up to 145 the weight cut to 135 is to much for him he is the same size as Aldo and he struggles to make 145 himself but then Aldo would have to consider moving up because they don't want to fight each other. I think Barao could be really good at featherweight.

if it didn't work i seriously doubt people would be sinking the cash into it. you ever been to a casino and notice you feel extra good even if you're not gambling and then all tingly when you leave? thats because they bump up the oxygen in the air to make you high pretty much. they think you'll dump more money into the games. oxygen bars same idea kinda you have more oxygen available so your body works more efficiently making you feel really good. im sure theres a lot more to the chambers then just higher oxygen content of the air. i live in sac and i think i just want to try it once if its not to expensive. i want to goto an isolation tank as well closest ones about 40 mins from sac i've seen pictures of danny with the owner on the site. just tossin that last part in because lol

Testosterone works. And these young boys are full of it. But on a lighter note.... I would say lots of people rely on the healing benefits of the hyperbaric chamber. There's also something called the CVAC system. Uncle Creepy uses that one. I always knew the benefits of cold therapy. Ice packs and whatnot. But Eddie Bravo, before his Metamoris match, was talking about cryotherapy. It uses liquid nitrogen to decrease the temp in the chamber as low as 200 below zero.

Smokey Rockwell cryotherapy is more of a painful treatment especially compared to this. i just wonder about the red blood cell count etc, would it decrease on fight night. like people train in elevation to achieve this

JediMindTrikkz It's all geared towards recovery. The closest I'm gonna get to the cryochamber is a cold shower. Sometimes I use icebaths, But as you know, it's not very comfortable. But I feel great afterwards. I assume the RBC increase from the CVAC machine is valid. According to Ian Mcall, his VO2Max does improve. But the thing is, all of this tech that athletes use to recover and get back into the gym sooner can also be used by peoples Grannies who's gout foot is flaring up.

I believe Barao will win this time around but I hope he loses so that he can move up a weight class. It's no secret that he stuggles to make 135. I mean just look at his frame, he's practically the Jon Jones of 135. He dwarfs his opponents. He could easily make 155.

Mendes won't beat Aldo and nobody else in the camp is really relevant with the exception of Joseph B. and Mighty Mouse owns him. He's been training MMA for a few years. But he has been an athlete wrestling his whole life.Its a lot easier for people to be successful in the sport if they already have amazing wrestling or jiu jitsu or kickboxing or whatever background because that's one less style they don't have to worry about learning allowing them to focus more on other aspects of the game.
