Dillashaw and his long-distance coach Duane "Bang" Ludwig head to the gym for a fight week training session, before joining Urijah Faber and the rest of Team Alpha Male to celebrate the birthday of teammate and co-main attraction Danny Castillo. Down in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, former belt-holder Renan Barao packs his bags for his trip to the U.S. and the most important quest of his life -- reclaiming his UFC title. As the rest of the UFC 177 stars converge on Sacramento, the champ and other NorCal notables head 80 miles southwest to visit Oakland Raiders training camp. UFC Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog series focusing on the days leading up to the UFC 177 bantamweight title rematch, Saturday, August 30th on Pay-Per-View.

I've been trying to feel happy for TJ cause of the amazing underdog story and everything but when he's looking at Barao training and laughing it just pissed me off. The man went undefeated for 10 years clearly he knows how to train and that training clearly helps him. Come on bro show some respect

Not trying to defend TJ, but when you're going into a fight, you take whatever mental advantage you can get. By TJ downplaying Barao's training, he is essentially convincing himself that Barao has no chance. He just has to be careful not to underestimate the guy.

Barao seems to be training hard, but I'm not sure that will be enough. TJ knows his tendencies so well. Barao needs to be a completely different when they fight.

I love how people act like there is a huge difference between bantam and fly, its 10 fucking pounds. Dodson is also a savage and is ranked as second best flyweight in the world. Not to mention every male champ except Weidman has had at least one loss so i dont know why people focus on records so much.

Henan barao is a beast.. Fight should've been stopped from the first knocked down but barao still went on to fight 4 more rounds.. Anyone can get caught. It was tj's day that night but I think barao is gonna get his belt back!

I understand what t.j. did to barao and the beef between aldos camp and team alpha male but he really sounds like hes understanding barao which is a fools move. Barao is still a beast and can clean his head off of his shoulders albeit the good performance t.j. put up the first time. Barao is humble in and out of defeat but t.j. is running his mouth very cocky like. Be on your toes or be on your ass t.j. hoping for a good clean scrap.

I agree it's to do with pushing the champ, but I also think it's personality and activity. Barao was champ for what, two years? Never heard a thing about him, because he doesn't do anything. He's clearly a reserved person, and it shows. TJ on the other hand... He's soaking in the limelight, doing as much shit as he can. Naturally, you'll get to see more of it.

Chance Jolivette and also, why cant some americans try to be a little more "open" about other cultures and try to actually learn something from it. Im very intrigued by portuguese and try to learn everytime that i can with brazilean interviews, Q&A. American fans want everything given to them, you can also make an effort to understand other fighters, especially when they are that good like Renan, Jose Aldo, Cigano, Werdum, etc

The UFC should have left DJ vs. Cariaso on this card. That fight doesn't add a ton of appeal on 178. If it was on this card at least it would have a solid co-main.

Their first fight was such a one sided beat down that its ridiculous to say Barao will win the rematch. That being said, after Barao took that first big punch he didn't look like he was in the fight for a minute, so i see him being alot more calculated and careful this time around. I'mma have to stick with TJ by decision.

To put things in perspective, Jon Jones was being called the "cocky" one by many MMA fans going into his fight with Sonnet, let that sink in.
