On episode #3 of UFC 182 Embedded, the weekend's stars arrive at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, including UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, teammate Donald Cerrone, Danny Castillo, Nate Marquardt, Hector Lombard and Justin Timberlake. Jones sweats it out with some new training partners, high school wrestlers from Bishop Gorman, while challenger Daniel Cormier gets in work with his AKA team, which includes middleweight Luke Rockhold. Lightweight star Myles Jury makes time for fans, while his opponent Donald Cerrone spikes his adrenaline on a racecar track. UFC Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog series focusing on the days leading up to the hotly-anticipated UFC 182: Jones vs. Cormier event, taking place Saturday, January 3, on Pay-Per-View.

Obviously I'm not really qualified to critique Cormier's preparation but, does anyone else find it strange that he is using someone shorter than him to work out striking when Jon is maybe 5 inches taller?

He had a sparring session with luke rockhold who is 6'2" and jones is 6'5" so there's a slight difference but both fighters will be ready

That's his striking/boxing coach. He was sparring with Luke Rockhold who is quite tall and a great fighter. Don't worry about his preparation, he looks better than ever.

Why do so so many of you not pay attention to anything about Cerrone before commenting on him? He doesn't train, he's not taking this fight seriously, so on and so on. The same questions about him being asked hundreds of times have been answered on numerous occasions even in previous embedded episodes.

If Cowboy decides to stop fighting, I'd bet he'll make a good race car driver. 56's for his first time is insane. Sometimes non car enthusiasts make the best drivers because they have no bad habits coming into the game. Basically starting on a clean slate, with natural talent to back.
