Junior's overhand right is probably the scariest technique in the UFC. I've never seen heavyweights accelerate so fast towards the ground from a punch.

@McFasty39247 жыл бұрын
I really like this breakdown. Hardy drives home a point with the idea of hard punches. Everyone can knock eachother out but the key thing is the opponent taking even your 60% power shots super seriously. You see alot of fighters where the jab and fients are so flimsy they get cracked by very confident counter hits. With people like JDS and Hunt just the openening few probing shots really dig in and you can see their opponents start to display weaknesses in thier blocks and parries right away. Can't wait for this fight!

Dan Hardy missed a few things in this video 1.. he didn't once mention Junior body work.. which he landed a more then a truckload of body punches on stipe .. thats why stipe was wearing down .. he said that everything stipe did was excellent but he wasn't condition enough to execute the gameplan..but it was the jab , straight right.. and hooks to the body that wore down stipe. 2.. he said junior work with not a vast variety of strikes .. which is wrong .. junior footwork.. in and out sets up his punches.. his kicks.. round kicks .. spinning kicks .. front kick .. his jab to the body sets up the over hand his check hook.. his head movement ... which i think will play a big part in this fight .. stipe rarely moves his head .. and he gets hit alot.. yes he has a good chin but one of those hammer from JDS can end the night. should be a good fight my pick is JDS by tko

Man both of these are guys are so down to earth and fight with all of their heart. They don't run away from their opponents and fight defensively the whole time to hope they win by decision taking advantage of the fact that champions usually win the close decisions, both are exciting to watch, show great sportsmanship and are good examples of how a champion should act. I do think that Dos Santos will win as the first time they fought Dos Santos clearly did win the fight by at least one round, Miocic won the first round and maybe the fourth. Miocic has great burst damage and takes out his opponents fast. However Dos Santos has an iron chin, and has better endurance. Miocic was tired by the fifth and Dos Santos could still go another round. Also Dos Santos has great defensive takedown ability, so Miocic has to box him and being that Dos Santos is a great boxer Miocic will have a very difficult time KO Dos Santos.

It used to seem as though Dan Hardy was rubbing the fact that he saw these minuscule details of the fights in his co-hosts face but now i see that Dan Hardy really does see these things and is impassioned in exposing them and good on his co-host for seeing Dans potential as an annalist.. hope the chemistry works out between you two, but believe me when i say i enjoy watching you two and think that you're a good balance to one another..hope to see many other fights broken down...p.s. please accept your roles as analysts.. one a former fighter and one a spectating enthusiast turned commentator... both equally important when pertaining to overall appeal to the sport.

Yeah, that was a great fight. Stipe has to watch out in the first 2 rounds versus JDS though. Because Junior's knockout power is serious in the first two rounds. Stipe is tough though. I think he has to pretty much do what he did last fight but he has to out work him or go for the knockout or submission to win. Get JDS tired and he's a totally different fighter.

12:50 Idk I think JDS is going to try some new kicks he seems to be working them a lot in training. He just has to do a good job of disguising them or when he chooses to throw them because he does not want to be on his back with Stipe on top that is worst case scenario.
@tope1157 жыл бұрын
21:55 "he has not been damaged a lot" I usually agree with almost everything you say Dan and this series are the only thing I would actually pay for watching it (boycotting the UFC in general that is), but this time I have to disagree those 2 Cain fights took a huge chunk out of JDS's life-span and his chin has never been the same after that. PS: Those shots from Cain don't look like much, but there is a lot of power behind it, especially if you take those direct hits to the head/face for more than 40 minutes combined in the fights that they had.
