The Eclectic Shokunin not really
@pwnzor817 жыл бұрын
While I absolutely agree with your choice of the GOAT in basketball, here you are correct only in the most pedantic, technical sense. Bisping should fight someone who is not 46 and is at least in the top 10 in the MW division. Also fighting someone who is 46 and outside of the top 10 and barely SURVIVING that fight (please note that he didn't win it he survived it) automatically disqualifies you from really being a champion. Not fighting the top 5 guys is just another layer that adds to my point, actively ducking Romero is an additional layer and to put icing on this already stacked, gigantic cake, he won the title in a very fluky fashion (note that you can't spell fluke without Luke). He loses that rematch 100 out of 100 times.

I'd have him second to Dominick Cruz just. Dom's fight IQ is just unbelievable. Never left wondering how someone should fight a technique on the ground etc. when Dom is on commentary. Always analysing how the fighter in trouble can improve his position and how the attacking fighter can maintain theirs and doing it in incredible detail. His last outing on commentary on the Cheisa/Lee card was phenomenal.

I have to say, Dan Hardy has been a surprise to me. Not great in the octagon per say, but as an analyst he has been above and beyond when describing fighter's weaknesses strengths etc. The last time I watched him analyzing a fight it was the Miocic vs Dos Santos two rematch title fight. He pretty much called how Miocic was probably going to Hunt down Dos Santos and not give him space to throw bombs and finish him with crisp inside boxing and the fight went 100 percent the way he said it would.

Interesting how as analysts there is no recognition that Robert beat Brunson and Jacare in the same fashion. Compromising the vision of the left eye with the hands, then all but finishing with the right high kick followed by ground strikes

Dan Hardy is on point. Whittaker is much more varied in his style but still brings some of those surprise strikes that Karate teaches. I think/hope he sneaks in one of those left hands and lights out Romero. Bobby Knuckles FTW. Either way Bisping will be giving up that belt
