Those people who were letting him stand up have nowhere near the wrestling pedigree that DC has, though. How many times have we seen someone "shake off" Daniel Cormier? It's basically unheard of. And even if he does manage to stand up a couple of times, it's gonna sap far more of his cardio than it did against those other guys.

I think the rawness of Derrick Lewis's ground skills is overstated. He clearly has very advanced takedown defense. I would say those instances shown of him "just deciding to get up" because he is so strong were actually instances of him choosing the exact right moment, when his opponent was either distracted by a submission attempt, or a lapse in balance. The man knows what works, and what gives him the best odds of creating a situation which will tend to favor his skills and attributes.

People are really underestimating Derrick. He has insane power and for the first 3 rounds DC will not be able to hold him down for more then 10 seconds. Also even getting a takedown will be hard for DC. Derrick can also kill DC on the ground if he gets on top and if he does at any point in the fight he will win. This fight will be really exciting but I see DC surviving 3 rounds and getting a ground n pound tko win in round 4.

Ku Ku Klock I dont think that at all. Lewis is always dangerous for everyone. But Rumble is more precise than Lewis and he couldnt connect more than once on DC. Lewis could certainly win but DC is the favorite by a distance in my opinion

@@jeep754 Lewis has more KO power and is much stronger than Rumble imo. Lewis is a 265lb 6'4 man I think if its a pure brawl Lews would take Johnson. So I think Lewis is much more dangerous than Johnson too. And DC got hit pretty bad by Rumble in their first fight. Lewis can definitely end this quickly. DC will have to be on his A game I think.

Don't be so sure, DC is much slower and gets hit much more easily now at HW than he did before he went down to LHW. Stipe hit DC a lot and Derrick Lewis will probably rush DC and out muscle and go for a KO early. If he misses though then DC wins I think.

It's a sledgehammer versus a hammer approach. DC is very accurate in his use of a smaller weapon but he knows right exactly where to hit you. The Black Beast, he just needs any part to connect and there's enough energy there to put anybody out.
