And I do agree at times but his commentary is usually faaar more unbiased than Joe Rogan's whose commentary is often painting a different picture to the fight itself. And besides, I did not mention the partiality of his punditry, but his knowledge. No one does more research than he does... He knows so much about all the fighters and the different martial arts they practice, regardless of the country they fight out of... You can tell he truly loves fighting and studies it in his spare time. He is every much a student of the sport.

@Jesus Hitler Cruz as well. But Cruz doesn't do much research and you can tell... He naturally knows a ton from his career and picking information up over the years but he doesn't go beyond his expertise. He's said some questionable stuff when commentating fights in the past. Most recently, I'm thinking of that Ben Askren Lawler fight where he said that bull dog choke in that specific position with chin tucked was "just pain but no choke". I was like.. Cruz... really man?

@@maidenless2110 Cruz is a great analyst but has the tendency to come out with some idiotic bullshit when he's live on air. Not sure if that's just the spotlight getting the better of him though. Rogan's the same. I wish Big John would have moved on to UFC commentary instead of going to Bellator - he's wasted there in my opinion. The wealth of knowledge he has is incredible. Anik, Big John and DC (for wrestling) would be a dream team.

Hardy is the best analyst in MMA. Simple as that. Might be biased when it comes to fighters from the UK but always gives props to every fighter and highlights the weaknesses and strengths of every fighter. Waiting for him to permanently replace Joe Rogan in the commentary team. Love Joe Rogan but he's become more of a hype man than actual analysis.

Right. It's also the game plan and approach to the fight. Pettis was not going to approach Wonderboy the way he approached Max or Poirier. He was more defensive against wonderboy with his hands up all the time, with great attacking of the legs waiting for the opening and capitalized beautifully with that superman-showtime punch...

I think Max has the edge. Dustin is gonna be on fire for the first 3/4 rounds but Max will overwhelm him on the last and will either get a tko or a UD.

@@petars4444 dustin has a lot going for him, he has a lot of experience at 155 and max has none, we've seen max be unfazed by many clean plunches landed but it's going to be interesting to see if his chin can tolerate the power at 155 and of poirier and let's not forget about poiriers wrestling, I'm probably picking dustin but max has proven me wrong more than once

@@deni6943 I think the power at 155 is less of a thing for Max as people think. Ortega is a MASSIVE 145 pounder and he knocked Edgar out, and Edgar had never been knocked out by a 155er. Max is definitely more fit for 155 than Edgar is. I think it will be a good match, but I don't think the power won't be as big of a deal.

I’m going with the underdog man... I think Dustin still has the tool sets to beat Holloway, solid boxing and good ground game. Dustin has shown heart in his last few fights, he’s hungry and now is the best time than ever for him to claim gold for the first time. Sure Max evolved farther and looks really good now, but Dustin still evolved too, I won’t be surprised if Dustin manages to pull the W again and even finish him whether it’d be tko or submission. 💎

I was sincerely advocating for Laquinta but my head told me Lee... Yes, I was definitely incorrect. It taught me something about fighters who haven't faced much adversity...they tend not to do well when they do. Now I try to incorporate that into my level of thinking when picking a winner. Tyron is a perfect example of fighter who doesn't weather adversity well.

@@D_Snutz Dustin/Max:excelent footwork. Max:best gear shift I've ever seen. Dustin:most effective/technical brawler in LW division as proven. Dustin:KO power but 10 pounds extra for Max makes it interesting. Dustin:reach&height but footwork can be a remedie for that. Both will have to face multiple challenges it's an awesome match up.

I love Max Holloway's style. The way he totally outclassed the massively overrated Ortega was just immense. Absolutely loved that shit!!! I feel he has improved way more than Poirier has over the same period of time. I like Dustin, but he looks so rigid sometimes. I see a 4th round finish for Max through his usual insane workrate, Dustin's face gonna look like Ortega's. 😂

Dan hardy isn't a coach, he is a layman who impresses low IQ kids who watch his show like yourself. There is a reason the fighters have actual coaches and don't rely on ramblings from Hardy or Rogan to base their fight game off.

Ahhhhh it's so much fun to watch Max punch people in the face. His style of striking is ahead of the curve, I think it's the dominant style of the future in mma. Puts a clinic on every time. It's what people want to see, and it's clearly effective.

I agree, can see Dustin come out VERY strong trying to bag him up early and at least get respect from holloway. Without holloway respecting dustins hands there's just no way to escape and move out of his range. Max's ability to find range is sooooo deadly.

Dustin will refuse to lose, this is what will make the fight interesting. The dude has insane determination. But max takes this via fight IQ might not be something you can teach. Might be god given. If Poirier wins it will be because of a size and strength advantage. Will be interesting to see Max's size strength and cardio at 155.

Max's cardio is crazy and that has to do with his percentage going up as the fight goes on. His opponents get tired and more stationary as the fight goes on and max is just getting warmed up and is like a Usain bolt. He hits another gear and just leaves everyone in the dust as he starts to unwind and separate from everyone else. I absolutely LOVE watching max
