Because there is not really a game plan other then stop the shoot. And he will get the shoot atleast once. After the first shoot he has momentum because he has made you more tired then he is. Every shoot he lands after that is him pulling further and further away from you until your too tired to fight back. And then its over. You can actually attribute his style to animals. He has a perfect survival fight technique if you think about it.

the thing is, you can’t really go "back and forth war” against Khabib. while you are on your feet, he can take you to the ground every single second and you are most likely not to get up until the end of the round. that’s the exact reason why Poirier, Johnson, MvGregor, RDA, Barboza and many other great strikers did not succeed

As a British martial arts enthusiast this is great for us too, usually us Europeans have our whole weekend consumed by fixing our sleeping patterns on a Friday until then struggling and feeling run down all Sunday to be then able to get a normal sleep ready for work on Monday morning. @@jm7720 everyone has his own style to defeat his opponents. UFC includes all the types of martial arts as wrestling as well. Mcgregor or who ever else knew exactly that this guy is gonna wrestle them, that is the reason to train ways to avoid his attacks or to defend from them. Any attack can be blocked. But noone did it actually against Khabib’s wrestling.

This is a way better fight. Tony didn't have defensive wrestling, or precision striking. Gaethje has both. This is a way more competitive fight. This fight is a dream fight. This is literally an MMA fan dream matchup.

@@Ritalie Yooo truth, they need to be on some revenue share. I've been watching countdowns/previews for a long time. I practically study the shit at this point. Check out the Jon Jones vs Reyes Countdown. The Isreal and Costa Countdown. The voice over guy, the sound, the way the punches, the kicks, everything flows with the sound. You start to notice these things after you watch ufc 236 countdown 17 times.

It won't be fight of the year because everyone views khabibs grappling as boring and uneventful. Fight of the year candidates are usually back and forth wars, which judging by all of khabibs fights bar about 1 or 2 are usually boring slow maulings.
