If this was not documented, we'd never believe it was real. The man came literally from a small village in the mountains of Dagestan, fought for his father's legacy with the goal to retire the undefeated champion and pound for pound best. He achieved this goal for his father and made the biggest sacrifice of his life, to give up his career at the very top, for his mother. What a legend.

What's hard to believe is a small village in Russian called Dagestan is filled with Olympian wrestlers. He put Dagestan on the map not himself. Just like royce gracie put brazilians on the map via Jiu-jitsu.

I'm very grateful to have witnessed his career. Khabib is my GOAT. Most dominant fighter. Most respected fighter by his peers. What makes Khabib great is that every opponent knew what he was going to do. He didn’t stray from that to surprise his opponents. He just did what he always did and no one could stop it.

such an epic story. Such an incredible legacy....this man could have easily become the undisputed GOAT but decided to walk away when he was at his absolute prime. Completely different to any UFC athlete ever, both in style and in character. He truly never cared about the money, he just wanted to be recognized as the best.

For me Khabib is like M.Ali. A person bigger than just a cage fighter. He reminded us that peiple of old school values still exist who wont sell their honor for the right price. Who respect their parents and elders and who arent shy of their heritdge and culture no matter the immense pressure of changing trends and media outrage. And big up to Anotomy of the Fighter for making the documentry about his village 👍. I believe that will end up as one of the most tressured historical archieves.

He went against killers after killers and...many tried to avoid him but he smashed each and everyone who came in his way...MJ, RDA, Barboza, Roided Gliesson, Mcgregor, Poirier and Gaethje, he could've been at the top for atleast 3 more years, but he decided to call it a career. His mind was bulletproof, his heart was irreplaceable, his cardio was limitless, his aura was malicious, his striking unpredictable, his submissions without equal, his wrestling was undeniable, his record untouchable. Recipe of the GOAT. No substance abuse or performance enhancements are a plus. Truly the GOAT of the sport.

Khabib Nurmagomedov redefined MMA fighting, took over his weight class, cleaned out his division like he was fighting 12 year-olds, and displayed a level strength training, wrestling, grappling, AND striking that will not be equaled again any time soon. If he didn't want to be hit, he wasn't hit. If he wanted to wrestle, rather than stand and strike, his opponents were simply helpless: he put them on the ground and incapacitated them like they were inanimate objects, stuffed animals, teddy bears. No one ever escaped his grip. No opponents ever got up off the ground after he put them down. He was like a traveling, living, moving embodiment of the law of gravity, like a black hole that simply enveloped and sapped the life out his opponents. He will always be a legend of the sport.

I am pretty sure he lost two rounds. One to Conor and another to gathje but I don’t remember so I maybe wrong.

@@misclicked.4776 Highly debatable. Conor cheated. And he didn't lose to Gaethje. Two judges got it wrong and gave it to Gaethje, one got it right and gave to Khabib.

@Soul ByThePound Khabib outstruck Gaethje on the feet and got him running on his heels. Took him down, attempted a submission attempt and Gaethje was saved by the bell. Facts don't care about your feelings. It's not the first time judges make mistakes.

I pray I can be like his father. Not only did he raise a world class champion who will go down as one of the best ever, he raised a man who could resist the corruption of fame. Khabib maintained his integrity even though he became, rich, famous, and powerful. That’s why he’s a hall of famer in my book.
