Agreed. That Pereira fight was so satisfying. Michel thought he was just going to walk through Connelly, never respected his skills. Connelly just didn't have the size or strength to finish Pereira, but he kept putting him in such compromising positions that Michel didn't have answers for.

1:22 Jimmy loads up on the right hand, but as he sees his opponent turn away he immediately switches to the left so he doesn't land a blow behind his opponent's head. That's a proper lad right there.

@@CannabisUseOnly More often in high paced mma moments like that, other fighters would land the shot, after which the ref would warn "watch the back of the head", and because it was a high paced moment it would be deemed as unintentional and nothing would be done about it. But fair point, you could be right.

Sometimes guys try to have too much sportsmanship. Like when you just stopped your opponent, just leave them alone. Don't try to pick them up or sit and pose with them.

From what I remember from an interview, the guy didn't put up that much of a fight. It was more of he was so high on hard drugs that he literally would not go unconscious from chokes and punches but he basically got his ass beat pillar to post.

Im telling you now Jimmy Crute is gonna be champ within a year or 2. He's already a great well-rounded fighter with KO power, submissions, and very few weaknesses in his game, a year or 2 to tidy up and he'll be a force to be reckoned with

Tristan Connelly's performance against Michel Perreira was such an epic david vs goliath win. Sure Perreira gassed himself out with his antics but he was like 50% larger than Connelly lol & he missed weight so Connelly took home a 100k bonus
