Bro Chandler is so simple minded and I love it. I remember him saying he just powered through Charles submissions and didn't care enough to learn how to fight against it. Just sheer will and strength. All of these guys fight would be a banger in the future just slug fest.

@@insurrectionrebel Chandler mentally was ready here to take the thruds from Gaethje, whereas with Olivera he was more focused on winning in first round. I feel that's the difference. There's no darn way Olivera hits harder no matter how precise the shot is.

Gaethje's takedown defence was beautiful throughout the fight. The hip control. The one time Chandler did get him down, he flipped out of it and took his back! Just goes to show again how different Nurmagomedov's wrestling was.

Justin fell for the aura of Khabib. He ran away from Khabib from the very first second of that fight. Khabib still would’ve beaten him, but Justin’s fear of him is what helped Khabib

Justin finally looks like an athlete in his prime. He clearly got his diet and conditioning on point. In the past, something was off. But he said he changed his diet dramatically and you can see it, he has really improved his physical shape. This version of Gaethje is unstoppable, especially against non-wrestlers in Poirier or Oliveira.

How did he not fight smart? His game plan was a ko punch. To him that probobly was smart. The reason he kept his arms low later into the fight is because when you are that exhausted it's like holding up 20 pound weights infront of your face and drains your energy.

You’re confused. He fought very tactically first round but after getting hit with some hard shots and getting gassed, he knew there was no coming back. His leg was done, he was tired and his punches had no pop. It was at that point where he decided to give fans a show

I'm not surprised by the end result, Justin is just a step ahead. I questioned Chandler's chin after the Oliveira fight, But Chandler has heart. He may have lost this fight but for me he is still a top 5 lightweight. He gained more fans after this fight.

@@jrewmac3560 Not many people can wrestle with Justin. I’ve only seen Khabib keep him down and that was only after making him panic and run. Chandler did well in the first but he couldn’t finish Justin after emptying the tank. That’s the problem

One of geathje worst performance (mostly because he didn't take the right approach) geathje is greater than that at his best he would have ko chandler in the 1st, but he still won and that's the most important, am crazy happy hopefully we geathje VS poirier 2.

geathje was landing a lot of slap left hook with no authority on them, nothing like the left hook he was landing on tony and khabib were he was sitting down on them to put more power in to them, I re watched sole of geathje previous fights like the poirier and alvarez and even fights before hand, and man he was he throws a lot of arm punches in the past which is a very wrong thing to do. Geathje started to get a lot of clean ko wibs after he cleaned his boxing.

Geathje old bad habits came back in this fight like staying stationary, not a lot of feints and he also threw a lot of arm punches and his left hook that was deadly in his last 5 fights... Now in this fight he was slaping his left hook rather than throwing it with authority and with the knuckle. If he did fought mike like he did his last 5 fights he could have easily koed chandler in the 1st in my opinion.

Toughness doesn't win you matches mate. He kept his hands low allowing Justin to connect. That is insanely stupid. He explodes in 1st round resulting in him gassing out in 2nd. Very bad game plan. In round 3 he probably knew he was gonna lose yet he didn't try to finish, instead he was wasting time. He used to be a warrior in bellator having been in wars. But just like Tony, age has got worst of him. He is 35 and final yrs of prime. No disrespect to him but he will never win that belt.

The moment when chandler was telling gaethje to hit him in round 3 is one of the bad ass moments. The moment when he earned gaethje respect, one of the best fights I watched this year

Who said Gaethje sucks at wrestling again before Khabib he spent a total of 17 sec on the ground now Chandler was unable to take him to the ground both are NCAA D1 wrestlers. Khabib is just that good.

In round 3 he probably knew he was gonna lose yet he didn't try to finish, instead he was wasting time. No fighter will keep their hands low in such stacked division against a heavy striker. No disrespect to him, he tried his best. People are allowed to think and type their opinion. No one is a keyboard warrior here.

It was badass but not a good strategy to win. Gaethje is the wrong guy to do that shit with. Justin Gaethje has too many weapons, he caught Chandler with hard lefts and rights and leg kicks while during that march.

Geathje has by far the biggest numbers of views - for interviews, ortagon interviews, face off, Octagon walkout ) for any fighter that was at this event even more than uzman and colby. Just shows how much of a big name he is famous and respected he got since the tony and khabib fights.

It is only on the rarest occasions that you get to see a fight where no one really loses. The right man still got his hand raised, but all the fans that got to see this fight should be bowing in respect to both of them. They each can hit like a freight train, and they went forward with reckless abandonment at times like true gladiators. This just may be one of the best fights I have ever been privileged to see.

I thought Chandler had him in the 1st round, then I thought Gaethje had him in the 2nd round. Whichever judge gave it 30-27 Gaethje robbed Chandler of a well deserved good 1st round

This Fight moved something within me. Chandler almost looked psychotic in the way he fought and approached this and Gaethje was almost scary calm in the face of all this chaos. That was some badass archaic war shit going on. I feel like they were both ready to die. True gladiators

Wow. This was probably the best UFC card in years in terms of delivery, at least for me. I have so much respect for all these athletes and what they put on the line just to offer us entertainment. For them to deliver fights like this while I'm eating f*cking cheetos at the comfort of my chair is nothing less than amazing. Modern day gladiator stuff - purest form of competition for sure.

They ain't letting him go. Justin went on a 2 loss streak after winning his UFC debut as well. Chandler is beast for sure now. Despite it being losses, Chandler fared better against Oliveira and Justin than both of their last several opponents have (excluding Khabib loss Justin has)

@@Richtshn06 Yeah but I don't think letting them kick your limp leg feels any better. Bc just a few of Justin's kicks and that leg and your power are useless. You can't even stand up anymore and just fall to the ground like Conor did against Dustin. Your only option is to do what Chandler did initially, fight back. Kick Justin's legs. He actually hurt Justin's legs pretty bad after a few kicks but then stopped throwing kicks bc Justin was landing with his punches. Damn, Justin was throwing 🔥 tonight! You can tell he was running on fumes over Chandler making it public that he declined to fight him many times. I thought Chandler was going to ragdoll Justin but I think his ego got the best of him after Justin kept saying your a bitch if you shoot for the legs. But that fight was so exciting!
