@Pizza Baratheon All UFC fighters are tested by USADA in and out of competition and can be tested anytime 365 days a year without any warning and is also tested by the NSAC. Fighters in the UFC are immediately suspended if tested positive, they can't even smoke pot because it would show up in testing and can be suspended for it. In 2022 alone, Weilli has been randomly tested 8 times by USADA, and this does not even include the athletic commission required testing.

Feel so sad for Frankie Edgar, a true legend of the fight game and one that will go down in history. Hope he doesn't take this to hard, he was devastated after the fight. You're a legend Frankie, fought some of the greatest to do it and beat most of them. Love all your older fights but your one against Ya-rear Rodriguez was devastating, you smashed a guy that everyone else has struggled with, even Max. Look forward to listening to what you have to say on your podcast, big fan of it.

@@davidoconnor393 It's because Frankie is on his way out and he's useless to the company. The UFC don't give a shit about their legends, despite Bruce Buffer's fancy introduction and despite them saying how much they love Frankie, they threw him under the bus as soon as he stopped being useful to them just like they tried to do with Nate. They'll happily feed these guys to much younger up and coming fighters to help promote them. This fight was a complete mismatch, Frankie is in his damn 40's. He was put in there to lose. I love the UFC but some of the shady shit that goes on in there really gets on my nerves. Getting brutally KO'd like that at 41 especially after so many years of fighting may genuinely have shaved a few years off his life or best case scenario will make him deteorate faster at an older age like we see happening to so many older fighters with slurred speech and shit. Of course Frankie is too tough to ever think this was a mismatch, and that's why the UFC gets away with this kind of stuff, no one calls it out. Funny how Dana talks so much trash about Jake fighting old people whilst his own company keeps feeding older and more worn out guys to young and hungry elite level talent.

Second highest grossing event of all time, most first round finishes of all time and 2 performance bonuses only. And even if those bonuses were well deserved, the 50k is pretty much change to both Pereira and Weili. Fighters early on in their careers like Blanchfield and Ulberg would probably be super happy with it though. They both finished real quality opponents with ease in the first round, and there were 5 other fighters that did that. Come one Dana, you can do better than that...

Man I was really observing the way he fights and it’s so interesting, he never steps backwards or tries to open and close distance he literally just walks straight towards him stops when In range and then walks towards him again. You can see he is not technically the most graceful or fluid but his overwhelming pressure combined with these gorgeous whip like uppercuts and hooks that he has trained into perfection plus unbelievable strength and power it kinda just is unable for most people to deal with because it’s never been done like this before. It’s like the Dagestan wrestling for the striking realm. He’s almost like the deontay wilder of ufc.

Izzy only has himself to blame. 3 - 1 up on the cards, final round and you decide to sit in the pocket with your back against the fence....like cmon. Before the fight I did think about the rivalry and tbh Izzy probably needs this in the long run. The division is finished, Izzy already lapped anyone they put infront of him so maybe him and Alex can start a saga like Volk and Max. All Izzy had to do was slip and stay awkward for the rest of the final round and it's a whole different story but Congrats to Alex.

Alex would be a boss if he vacated his belt and said he just wanted to beat Izzy again and retire

You have to give Izzy all the props for taking that loss on the chin...people say he's cocky and talks up his abilities - but he speaks the truth and didn't sugar-coat the loss at all. I'm hoping we see a more aggressive Izzy in the rematch, as that will make for fascinating viewing!

More aggressive Izzy would just get finished faster. One of the things that made Izzy dominant for his short spree at middleweight was his defensive counter abilities since he usually has a huge reach and height advantage over his opponents. Difference in reach is almost as unfair as difference in weight in my opinion. You can jab and throw while keeping out of your opponents range.

Izzy such a beast. Most active champion. Fights anyone, anywhere, anytime. It took this killer to dethrone him. He may not put on the exciting fights like our boy Chandler, but you have to respect him as a champion.
