I hope the Makhachev vs Volk fight goes down the same way as the Burns vs Chimaev one. A lot of people thought Chimaev was just going to run over Burns but we got something much better out of that fight. I have a feeling we're going to see something really similar here in that sense.

I honestly have this feeling that somehow Volk is gonna win this fight. I watched 5 or 6 of his previous fights last night just to refresh my memory and there's a few takeaways. Nobody has been able to hold Volk down for more than a second or two. Nobody. That rugby frame he's got is no joke. His striking is really on point. Great feints and his jab is money. Great leg kicks too. He works the striking hard too, he throws alot out there. Nasty body shots all the time. Importantly, he can get out of ridiculous submissions. Good example is vs Ortega. And the most important thing I noticed was his conditioning. I mean the guy works so hard in there and never ever gets tired. Again, I think the rugby helped him alot. He played pro rugby at over 200 pounds. Think of what his cardio must be like at featherweight! Honestly never really gave it much though I assumed Islam will win but now I'm just not that sure. And if Islam makes the mistake of thinking this will be easy like everyone else, he may end up being unpleasantly surprised 😄 can't wait to find out!
