Joe's "partner" says "Prochazca was hurt". Well...absolutely! However, he, and the so many other MMA fighters (Lawler, Chandler, Holloway, etc) have been beaten bloody, and barely moving; and went on to take out their opponents. That was a premature stoppage. Fortunately...nobody dies from an early stoppage.

I havent watched UFC for so long (just had other things to do) and I'm glad someone else noticed this. Also weird that at such a professional fight, they chose to view the one cam that is "coincidental" behind the ref. Also weird that the commentators are instantly celebrating the "win" and don't comment on the "weird" decision by the ref.

Yeah, no more championship flights for Goddard. These are the toughest most skilled, trained and ready fighters in the world. Gotta let them fight AT LEAST a few more seconds to ensure a sound decision. There would have been zero harm letting that one go a few more moments, especially compared with the belt whoopin Glover received.

The ref definitely pulled the trigger on Prochazcha prematurely. He was in no great danger, and still moving in a logical manner; proceeding with contention. If he stopped working offensively and/or defensively for several seconds; the fight could rightly br called.

Every elbow touched the ear or went in front of it, and was not even close to vertical. Most of these were almost 9 to 3. Jiri in the rematch is a good bet though, haven't seen many fighters so good at creating chances for themselves to get a finish. Even when he's losing the fight he can make it into a coin toss

@@angelasalyer3901 You don't know what vertical means? Straight up and down. Like drawing a straight line from the 12 to the 6 on a clock. That's why it's called a 12 to 6 elbow. To throw a 12 to 6 elbow in that position against the fence, Alex would have to bring his arm directly over top of Jiri's head and drop it straight down. Wanna time stamp where that happens? While you're at it, you can show me where I said Jiri was losing this fight before the left hook caught him. This was a great, competitive fight. A fight he definitely WAS losing was the Rakic fight, and he still got the finish. That's why I agreed with you that Jiri is always a good bet, he's either winning the whole fight, or he's losing but then finds a way to finish his opponent anyway.

I have counted 14 elbow hits... if wasn't from Alex maybe could be early stoppage. Plus he landed on a perfect mount... the reff was perfect in stop one of the strongest fighters punching down Proaska. I mean, did you see that left? Barely touched Proaska, and felt. Ref did his job knowing the card.
