If Rousey only went with an actual legit coach, I think she could of became more of a killer than what she was. Just perfect her technique (straighten out her form), add some Muay Thai style kicks, her head movement wasn't good, but she could've just substituted it with some good blocking skills and covering up well, a good guard. Also work on smoothing out her footwork and creating angles. She could've worked on a Randy Couture Style clinch game. Imagine if Ronda would have developed some heavy ass body kicks! 😯 She had a great chin too, taking those shots from Nunes and not getting knocked down, Nunez Ko'd Cyborg with punches. She was also athletic. She was in a way, Wasted potential. Could've been Greater..
@honeyandlavender_5 жыл бұрын
She was way too egotistical to notice any of that shit. After the Holm fight she was told over and over again to change camps. Instead she just took the advices and threw them down the toilet.

@markb355 жыл бұрын
Gus and Santos. Had them both beating Jones 48-47 at the end of their bouts.
@markb355 жыл бұрын
@ How so? The judges scored the fight differently and the decisions remain to be very controversial among MMA experts. That's not really proving someone wrong. He would've proved me wrong had I said Gus or Santos would maul him before the fight and then they turned out to be as competitive as they were. But I never did that
@markb355 жыл бұрын
@ Technically true, but we shouldn't stop questioning judges, they've screwed many fighters before. Those two fights could've gone either way, Jones won the toss-up because the commission sent the "right" judges (from his perspective) to the fight. When a fight is that close, luck in that regard becomes an undeniable factor
5 жыл бұрын
@@markb35 Technically true as well, that's why the saying 'Don't leave it to the judges' The onus was on both challengers to not let it go to the judges, no one's gonna beat Jones on points, you gotta KO or submit him, dont think he needs luck as he's proven to be that good.
@yuibot59985 жыл бұрын
@ He just got a controversial split decision over a middleweight who previously lost to the middleweight Jones fought before him, and with a bum leg, not much to brag about there. It would be nice to see him call out some dudes his own size instead of fighting middleweights. Especially with his free pass to use all the picograms he desires.

There are people who try to say, "Ronda was never any good," but that is so wrong. Yes, the fight game evolved and left her behind. That happens to a lot of fighters. She was the personality and the talent that fueled women's MMA. She is the reason that the title was a "big deal" in the first place. The women knew the arm bar was coming. They practiced the defense for months, and they still could not prevent it. Remarkable.
