He’s a phenomenal fighter. Really good. He just doesn’t have a great personality for fighting promos. He just comes of so uptight and overly-composed. Probably the last UFC fighter, I would want to hang out with. He’s an amazing fighter though, so whatevs....who gives a shit what I think? Not him.

He’s always been a dude from the streets, he may have turned it up a bit for promotional purposes but it’s not like he says things that are VASTLY different than he used to. Colby def changed but it’s obvious that his whole thing is a work. Usman seems like someone who genuinely wants to like and respect others and be liked by them. Even after the Colby fight he was complimenting him (as opposed to Masvidal who kept trashing Askren and even Usman after the fight). I’m not saying he’s fake or anything, I just think he comes across more stoic than he really is. He seems like a lively, and (I say this endearingly) goofy guy. Like he’s a genuinely happy go lucky, and good man. I would want him teaching my kids. I don’t really wanna critique the whole “African” thing because dude is authentically Africa. And I know what it’s like to feel misplaced from your culture and come to be passionate about it later in life. I’m talking about the way he talks in interviews and the way he lowers and slows his voice down when it doesn’t sound natural. But I COULD BE WRONG. I don’t know him ya know?

I think he's a good guy, but he has serious identity issues and he tries to please people or just keep from ruffling feathers to fit in, and it shows in his actions and personality.
