Yup, two big KO's added to his record this year. Dariush is the man, I hope he carries this momentum into 2021. He's already on a 5 fight win streak with 4 straight finishes (2 submissions, 2 KO's). I'd like to see him fight up the rankings, he's currently ranked 12 and he hasn't fought Al Iaquinta (10) or Paul Felder (8) yet.

He was nearly KO'd twice against one of the best & most powerful punchers in the sport, and came back from both knockdowns so strong. I wouldn't complain at all if he was here. He belongs in the fighter of the year candidates too

@@AkamapD yeah reem isn’t really much of a counter striker at this point, if you attack him he’ll just shell up and wait for the storm to pass. This has a couple side effects: 1) he’s not gonna win many early rounds 2) his opponents often gas out trying to put him away early. Sakai wasn’t as much of a “comeback fight”, more so an execution of a good strategy to trust your defense & cardio, and attack in the later rounds

He only have average set of hands. KO artists have unique set of hands that can inflict damage and instant effect on the target. It is not unusual that some who packs power in both hands doesn't have a high KO rate than the oneswho have an slightly above average power on their hands. Physical specimen as we all say

Yeah, he definitely needs to take 2021 off in Thailand. He's an incredibly talented grappler and I'd hate to see his development stall out by jumping up too fast.

@@SuicideVan Yeah I heard he's actually going out to Thailand pretty soon to start training. He's very young so hopefully he can pick up striking quickly. Looks like he needs to work on some strength and condition to build up more power too.

Spending 6 months doing strength work and building muscle will pay dividends in the long run while he works on his stand up. That should help get him to a point where his strikes at least seem like they could hurt someone.

I think the UFC does these things to promote up and coming stars, it's not really about who has the best comeback. Glover against Santos, and Reem against Harris should have made this list.

They saved the best for last. Barett's takedown and submission was just sick. Love how he threw those head punches and elbow b4 going deeper for the leg ankle lock. That was truly a comeback despite the fact he never dominated the fight.

Best Comeback of the year is Ed Herman being knocked out by a body shot, then getting a second chance to recover fully and win Against Slow Mike (iirc) because Tognoni is absolutely built differently than most.
