His unwavering confidence in the Cruz fight that won him the title, the ego driven KOs he suffered, the injuries, the impact of personal matters, the obvious attempt for him to reignite the fire that led him to the win the title, and the caution he exhibited to seem desperate to win the fight knowing he was up on the score cards. Props to him for being able to do what he did tonight, I guarantee it wasn't easy for him but his performance was a clear indicator of an improvement in Cody from the previous couple years. He's not on the decline albeit the injury which hopefully he can recover.

The balls you have to have to step in the octagon and you have a numb arm you can’t freaking feel and the other crap he had going on, along with ring rust and pressure from coming from a losing streak. Cody is super talented, I’m sure the next performance will be even better

I guarantee that is an over exaggeration. If you cannot feel your arm then he wouldnt be throwing punches properly, wouldnt be grappling properly. I am sure he had shit going on, but not a numb arm

Cody looked like shit at the end. He almost got finished by a nervous, lethargic fighter. This was supposed to be a soft ball, a confidence booster. They should run it back on a fight night and make it 5 rounds. Trevin would probably finish him in all honestly.

Nah not really. Trevin was sooo hesitant it's ridiculous. But part of it was warranted. Cody is a very good counter puncher. I guess he didn't want to be in a highlight real. Cody was taunting him extensively, and he never took advantage of it and let Cody reset. If anything, Cody will finish him in a rematch.
