Great fight, what I didn’t like was Diego hitting Ortega after the final bell and then not a hug, handshake.. fuckin nothin. Speak the same language and he just walked away like he got some sort of finish. The fact he couldn’t get a finish with all the damage and those knockdowns should’ve been more than enough reasoning to acknowledge the legend and warrior of the sport he just fought.. before running to Dana and celebrating. Now put him with a killer that didn’t recently just get back to fighting after god knows how long. Let him prove it. Or better yet, put him with max at lightweight. That’s a good next war for max to come back to.

As much as I love Diego Lopes, I think he’s going to get knocked out cold after one of these fights. He has a tell. After every exchange, he resets his feet, brings his hands up to guard, and he TOUCHES HIS THROAT. That’s the moment. It’s either going to be a left head kick or straight against a southpaw, or a looping left hook from orthodox.

Yeah you think you're crazy high level huh. Every fighter has these "ticks" like poirier pullin his shorts up yet the worst thing to ever happen to him was getting taken down by khabib and getting punched once or twice by islam. To think that these guys haven't been tested in the gym (whilst doing these ticks) is crazy. This is fighting everyone has patterns and everyone has a tell. To think that just cause bro touches his Adam's apple (which is very close to his face btw) he's gonna get ko'd yet poirier never got ko'd from literally reaching to his lower half and pullin his shorts up he got ko'd from being set up by intelligent strikers not from his tick.

Ortega's main weakness is his striking defense/movement. Max illustrated it, so did Volk, and Lopes did here. Why Brian hasn't addressed this flaw, or changed striking coaches? Is beyond me!
