Unceremonious ending to Allen’s last fight makes it hard to know what level he is on. He was no doubt winning the fight, but we’ve seen his cardio fade out like the Sodiq fight. If he slows down against Max, it’s gonna be a long night.

I've been waiting for this fight since I saw Allen's first fight in the UFC. Premonitions ever since I'm telling you. ISoon after I saw Allen's first fight in UFC I dreamt this of war veteran holloway vs up and coming Allen and that when they fought Holloway would no longer be champ and Allen would be on a huge win streak. It was an ugly fight, strong chins and strong hands.

Holloway is in a different realm of striking. They both have hands. Max Orthodox has a dangerous right but leads with his jab. Allen southpaw has a dangerous left but sometimes leads with it. If Allen does beat him, it's a big check on his resume.

the Calvin Kattar was insane and Max is no doubt great but it's so overblown, he fought Max exactly how you shouldn't fight, it's like standing right in front of Alex Pereira and expect to win, Kattar's strategy was garbage in that fight.

I hope Max in his time away has developed more power in his punches to get that 'respect' we hear about in the ring. I know this goes against what most others consider to be his greatest asset ( punches that don't stop coming ), but feeling pain and going temporarily black out gives most a bit of hesitation.
