Totally but part of me thinks that a real ultimate fighter is open weight with no time limits, they should hold an annual tournament honoring this style of format, that championship would really be the highest belt in the promotion.
@wheelmanstan
@wheelmanstan 2 жыл бұрын
@@emansfvera Yep. The UFC should do something like a kumite once a year or a mixture between kumite and that Bruce Lee film "tower of death"-structure it that way and give it that look, winner gets a crown, haha. They really gotta do something different. It's really gotten boring. Have it last an entire weekend, winner has to win 3 fights. 1 round, 10minutes. Have the weight classes laxed by 15lbs over or under fighting each other and each fighter has no idea who they'll be facing until the door opens. They could also do an Ultimate-Ultimate with only the toughest non-champs and have the winners get BMF belts that way each year.

To be honest T Squirrel you are always complaiting about ufc and how the paychecks is like everywhere. I think you need to seek professional help in real life because of how much you care about others paychecks. We the real people who work so u can sit home everyday complaiting here we do not care that much. We care about getting a raise on our own paycheck, its kinda hycropitic to sit and act like this when you always in vids complaints about Dana White and paychecks.

@@Childofbhaal That's just plain wrong. Royce Gracie fought seasoned grapplers in UFC 1. Ken Shamrock was a highschool wrestler thar qualified for state championship as a senior and Gerard Gordeau trained and competed in shoot wrestling prior to UFC 1. I turned 20 in 1993 and just turned 50 years young in 2023. I have proudly watched the UFC since it started and the evolution over the last 30 years is amazing. UFC 289 just happened and the GWOAT Amanda Nunez retired as the champion in the 135 & 145 lb female division. The first female fight in the UFC happened in 2013 and until then and I quote "NEVER will there be females fighting in the UFC" Dana White president of the UFC ~ So the evolution of the UFC has came a long way to have 3 or 4 women's weight divisions and they added men's weight division as it grew. @@wantutosigh1117 they showcased it againt people who didnt know what it was and made it so royce had each fight pretty much tailored towards him. they even made their own rules so hhe coul win like royce can wear whatever he wanted as much rest breaks and people like ken shamrock was rushed out of their changing rooms and wasnt allout their chosen gear. so no not very impressive not that people know what bjj is they can defend it lets see silly royce in his prime vs someone like our light weight champ islam or charles olivera.

@wantutosigh1117 2 жыл бұрын
@@siers1432 don't buy Ken Shamrocks complaining and excuses. He was 225 lbs of pure muscle and was a grappler. He shouldn't need shoes to win. The first UFC did seem like a mess behind the scenes. But rules were not tailored to Gracies. Just stop with that. Anybody was allowed to wear a gi. And after UFC 1 there's no excuse to not know what bjj is anymore. Your "each fight tailored toward him" is nonsense. Whoever won their fight won their fight. Shamrock was probably the biggest threat to Royce in the tournament and they fought in the second fight. I have no idea what your last sentence says. Obviously Royce wouldn't beat those guys. The early UFC's was style vs style. That was the whole point. It became obvious eventually that to be a complete fighter you had to train extensively in a few styles to be comfortable anywhere the fight went.

I was 16 when UFC 1 happened, and I wasn't surprised about the winner as I had been to Brasil for vacation / visiting family many times before and I've watched Vale Tudo (Anything Goes) in Brasil. I knew that unless someone caught Royce Gracie with a big punch or kick, there was no chance anyone would beat him once the fight was on the ground. And remember, his brother Rickson Gracie was bigger, stronger and better than Royce. It would have been a massacre if he was competing there. They had Royce compete instead to make a point to the world of Martial Arts. A smaller guy can beat anyone with Jiu-Jitsu.
