He let Masvidal take more shots than needed before calling that fight. That was one of the most movie-like knockouts of all time, he was clearly out when he dropped.

He wasn't out when he dropped. He put his guard up. Then he pushed his guard hand out to push his opponent. That was his last mistake and ref stopped it right after that.

Win or lose Reyes is a freaking warrior despite my first thoughts about him. Even getting tagged he fired back heavy in the Jan and jiri fight. Hope he comes back strong next fight after some good time off. Also the Usman finish has to be my favorite

I agree. Reyes just had 3 extremely tough opponents back to back, otherwise, his own performance impressed me in each fight. It was Jiri's extreme toughness that won him the fight. Any other LHW would've been KO'd by any of those bombs that Reyes landed on Jiri.

Em analogia, Namajunas caçou Zhang, preparou, esperou. O fato de ter sido em Zhang torna ainda mais espetacular, pois também é inteligentíssima, rápida, esperta, agressiva. É muito bonito. Jiri's chin is made of adamantium or something, Reyes was throwing heat that would knock out other guys, Jiri just kept walking. Normally when I see a guy nod or smile after getting hit, I always assume they're trying to play off that they're hurt. When Jiri does it, I believe him.

The Rose head kick KO is my favorite for so many reasons. I love seeing Rose win, the set up was gorgeous and she did it in 1:30. It was a quick finish, but there was an hours worth of chess that came before it.

Yeah this one was so strange, his response is more like a person actually passing out/fainting than being knocked out. The way he even explained the experience and how he could remember everything going on is very uncharacteristic of being knocked out.

Fighters stop when the ref says so. As shown in the video, some knock out are so obvious that there is no need to keep beating on the guy. For me the real issue is Herb Dean. Watch him, he acts like it's his first time in the ring and isn't sure what to do. He has a nasty habit of letting beatings go for too long for the fighters safety, while some fights he stops immediately.. His job is to protect a defenseless fighter wether I like them or not, and he sucks at it. Can't believe he is still allowed in the ring.

@@LilGirth we all know Jorge was training as if he was going to be fighting Usman the first time. Poirier even admitted Masvidal was training for him well before he took the fight. It was never about money. Masvidal knew he had nothing for Usman and wanted a built in excuse. He got exposed twice so hopefully we can move on and stop pretending Masvidal is a top tier fighter. He's a journeyman that landed one lucky knee and got way overhyped because of it. I love how he tried to act gracious after talking all that shit about Usman being a crotch sniffer and then getting knocked tf out though. He's a clown.

But he was baffled by Jiri's ability, honestly lucky to get out of the first round. Jiri will be a problem for quite some time. His personality is so interesting, if he gets a little better at English he is going to be a superstar.

@@EverythingInOnePlace1 Mark Hunt and Big Country both saw their chins decline with age. It isn't a knock, I'm just saying it won't always be there to rely on. If you look at Big COuntry specifically, he really hadn't even been knocked down until Mark Hunt flatlined him, then he started getting knocked out consistently.

That Usman finish is one of the craziest Knockouts EVER. So unexpected the way he KOs a dude who usually puts guys to sleep, the way the first fight went while Masvidal was on short notice. Usman just continues to show his greatness can’t wait to see him fight again 🔥🔥🔥

If anything it was Usman fighting on short notice as he was preparing to fight Burns, but then Burns pulled out due to COVID and had to fight Masvidal instead who is a completely different opponent. Dustin Poirier (who trains at ATT, same gym as Jorge trains at) pointed out in an interview that Masvidal was training to fight Usman months prior should the fight with Burns fall through, it wasn't as if he got up off the couch. Turns out a full camp Usman is far more dangerous.
