6 жыл бұрынUFC announced that the classic 2011 UFC 139 fight between former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and UFC 17 middleweight tournament champion and former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Dan Henderson will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame’s ‘Fight Wing’ as a member of the class of 2018. The 2018 UFC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Thursday, July 5 at The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and will be streamed live and exclusively on UFC FIGHT PASS.

@Angelina Dale no you idiot, the point i was making is that the acronym GOAT stands for "Greatest of all time" ... which means there can be *ONLY ONE* so the reason i said what i did was because multiple people were mentioning multiple names. when i was barely getting into the ufc, this was the 5th UFC event i've seen and after this legendary fight, i forever became a fan of this sport, because of this fight. I joined a school, began training because I was so inspired by these two sharing the cage. Im no where even near these guys skill wise but this fight is always in my mind when i show up to the gym

Josh Rosenthal made that fight, one of the most underrated refs in the game. Lesser educated refs would have stopped that fight early but he could see Shogun was still defending himself and that led to Sogun coming back for his best rounds of the fight

Blessed to be a part of this day in history. In San jose was definitely the happiest kid going to ufc with my brother my mom only had enough to buy us one ticket n won another ticket through radio .

The fight should have be declared a draw. Henderson won 3 rounds 10-9 and Shogun won 2 rounds, 10-9 and 10-8. End result 47-47 draw.

It should have been a draw even under the old scoring system (which rarely gave out 10-8 rounds). Dan was completely gassed and got dominated in the fifth round, easy 10-8 for Shogun.

Find it funny and ironic that jimmy smith would say this, when that very night he called chandler/Alvarez 1. On this night in November many moons ago, 2 of the greatest fights of all time happened. It was truly special. I watched both live back to back and I couldn’t decide which fight I loved more, but Eddie had a fan in me and chandler as well. When I watched Eddie knock RDA into oblivion, that night I had hope in my heart.

It's WAY better than Eddie/Justin. I also like it better than Rory/Robbie, but not by much. Hendo/Shogun and Rory/Robbie are both in my top 5 ever, possibly #1 and #2.

Over the years i've only missed roughly 5 - 7 PPV's stemming from UFC 107-UFC224 because of work. I'm very sad to say this was one of them, and also Silva front kicking Vitor was one of them :/
