This fight made it seem like Costa was gonna be a force. Then he gets injured has to pull out of the Izzy fight and is replaced with Romero Then the Izzy fight finally happens and he gets destroyed Then another injury and he doesn't get another fight for a good while till Vettori and loses that one fortunately didn't get destroyed that time but still a setback Then Rockhold and he finally gets a victory Then finally the opportunity to make contendership once again by fighting Whitaker and he loses that one. Been unfortunate for him. I was rooting for him to win that fight. Would have opened up some new and exciting fights. Since Whittaker's fought everyone. Strickland might be his last opportunity to finally get to contendership one more time. Hopefully he does.
