For me, Leon's win was one of the greatest moments in all of sports history. Leon having a tough as hell upbringing and losing his father at a young age, him earning a title fight and then being down 3-1 against the P4P #1 and the last guy to beat him, his coaches speech to fire him up, Rogan and DC writing him off and Anik saying "that's not the cloth from which Leon is cut", the headkick with 1min to go and then the passion in Leon's post fight speech. That is the kind of stuff you only see in movies!

This IS exactly the story, to a tee, of a movie. You know which one? Rocky1&2! So crazy man. In the Rocky movie Rocky lost the first fight with Apollo Creed and Ko'd him in the last round in their rematch after a speech from his corner coach. Unreal!

I've watched this moment at least 100 times and it never fails to take my breath away. From his personal history, to the rivalry, to usmans legacy-making, to the way the fight started, to the way it started going, to the commentary, to the between-round cornering, to the mid-round cornering, to the kick, to the commentary again, to every single part of his post-fight speech, to him crying on the phone to his mother; Every second is a picture perfect moment that comes together into one singular event that shook up everything in the sport and leaves me breathless. I f*****g LOVE this sport.

That was the detonator to awake him. It was clearly that Leon was still submerged on those years of bad luck, and he thought there was nothing he can do....then his coach remember who he was and his journey till here. That was the moment Leon got up Lifting the weight of the world of his shoulders.

Man that Leon Edward's head kick knock out of Kamaru Usman was LITERALLY the Rocky Balboa story, the Rocky movie exactly!! Rocky got beat in his 1st fight with Apollo Creed just like 'Rocky' Edward's did by Usman. Rocky Balboa fought to the last round in the rematch and pulled it off with a KO. Edward's fought Usman to the last round in their rematch and pulled it off with a KO!! STRAIGHT UP INSANE. LIFE STRANGER THAN FICTION!!

I'm in video production myself and have always thought highly of the UFC countdown series. But there is something about this episode, specially the Usman VS Edwards part, that strikes me a even harder than usual. The way you painted the picture of Leon's background and Usman's relationship with his daughter, just make their stories so much more relatable and touching. A job too well done!

Man, Leon's coach speech hit differently to me, I was always holding myself to a high standards before and I think I was always winning. But these past few years I always find myself in a shitty situation (mom's and dogs passing, hating my career, family dispute, financial problems, f*cking hating my life and I was just trying to survive). I was always feeling sorry for myself ever since, and this speech and Leon winning the title gave me hope that I can bounce back, man we almost have the same name. Thank you, and I will try to get out of this hole.

I love that the UFC is covering AKO. I think the sport thrives when organizations help each other. Hopefully it gets to the point where top AKO talent can easily feed into the UFC :)

Leon is cemented is UFC history. This was like a Hollywood movie. Leon down on the scorecards, then the speech from the coach that helped fire 🔥 him up. Then the head kick, and then that AMAZING post fight interview !!! Please God help Leon to win. He deserves it more than anyone. Come on Leon I know you got this !!! I love Leon, and his comeback in that fight made for a charming narrative, but there's no way he dominates the entire division like Usman has. I believe Usman's performance this weekend will remind everyone of that.

I think what is beautiful to me about a KO strike like Leon. Is that it was so simple, yet so complex. In the end all he needed was one faint where Usman lowered his hand and one kick to quickly follow. That's so special to see

That was 1000% the greatest and most impactful headkick knockout in all of ufc history. Gonzaga’s headkick was legendary as well…but this was different. You couldn’t write a better story than this.
